It's not always possible to successfully reverse sterilization, and even with regular periods, the quality of the eggs you release in your mid-30s and onward are of decreasing quality which interferes with fertility. You'd best talk to your doctor so he/she can set the proper expectations, but it is obviously going to be harder than if you were in your 20s. Best of luck to you, and hopefully it'll be good news!

My mother just got a reverse tube procedure done about a year ago. Her tubes were tied for about 7 years or so. The doctor told her that there is a 95% success rate with getting pregnant, BUT what he failed to mention is that more than 50% of those pregnancies miscarry within the first couple of months. She was pregnant for about 3 months, and then miscarried. It is a good procedure [because there are a lot of births that came out of it], and if you are still having your periods and are in excellent health, might as well give a go, because you never know what could happen! Good luck!
