hi im tina and im 19. me and my fiance have been trying to have a baby but cant seem to. this month i havent had my period and im right now 4 days late. i took a test last night and it came out negative. i was wondering if having s_x can lower the Hcg level and cause a negative result???

No, having s_x has no effect of the levels of hcg. Did you test in the morning? If not, your urine may have been diluted and you might be late because you're thinking so much about whether you are pregnant or not.

I agree with kay101. s_x has NO effect on your hcg levels. Its ideal to wait a little longer than just four days for a urine test because hcg's are harder to detect at this point. I would suggest waiting a couple more days, then test again, or go to your doc for a blood test.
