Are hot flashes a possible pregnancy symptom? I'm only 27, so I don't think I'm going through menopause.

No answer, but I can't believe that you are 27 and have the same problem. I am 27 and have been on the pill for 8 years and just stoppped. I have the worst hot flashed and have not started my period. Maybe you are having a hormone imbalance... I have been searching for an answer and cant find anything either

The cause of hot flashes is hormonal change. Pregnancy is a big hormonal change, and can cause hot flashes. Pregnancy hot flashes are generally much milder than those that happen in menopause. Just wait till you get to that part of your life! I'd rather be pregnant! For those that are not pregnant and are too young to be going through the change, see an endocrinologist. They can test to find the problem. Thyroid problems can be one cause. Starting to have thyroid problems after giving birth is very common. Get yourself checked out. Good luck to you all.
