Detecting Tubal Pregnancy

I haven't had a regular-type period since April 18, but I spot occassionally and sometimes feel queasy. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests and both are negative, but I was wondering if early pregnancy tests don't detect a tubal pregnancy. (My left shoulder has also been hurting the last couple of days. I attribute it to sleeping funny, but you never know.)

Go to the doctor and have a blood test.
