How Long Does Breakthrough Bleeding Last

Whats the difference between breakthrough bleeding and a normal period?
I thought I was pregnant because I had positives that were very faintly possitive.
Then I got what I thought was a period, it started off heavy then very light next day.
Today is third day and I'm just getting spotting, its really weird I was 3 days late as well.
If its completely stopped by tomorrow should I try another pregnancy test?

Sure, try another test using first morning pee. If you are pregnant the hormone should have doubled by then, and you should get a glearer positive. Read the test at the three minute mark, then throw it in the trash. GL!
