Posititve Hpt But Negative Blood Test

hi I've gotten many positive results with the equate pregnancy tests the past 2 months but also a few negative with the first response test. I also took 2 blood tests about a month and a half ago that were both negative. If I am pregnant i'd be about 3 or 4 months along. I've had periods but they have been lighter and shorter then usual. What makes me think I am is all the symptoms I've had. I have nausea that comes and goes and alot of dizziness in the morning. I've had very bad headaches the past several months plus I've been exhausted and falling asleep anytime I sit for about 10 minutes. I've always been thin but now i've gained about 10 pounds and have a little bump. Do you guys think I'm pregnant? Any experience with negative blood tests and then been pregnant? thanks

Hmm. I Googled "false positive pregnancy test" once more to see how likely this is. You might try that too. Without more exact dates, I speculate that your blood tests were too early, and the First Response defective. Perhaps you are not as far along as you think. Please run one more test and be sure to read the result in the specified 3 minutes, then come back and talk some more. GL!

I think I've had too many positives for them all to be false positives. I thought it was maybe something with the equate pregnancy test but then I took a family dollar and a shopko brand one and got faint positives with both. I just don't understand whats going on and it's hard to get my doctor to take me seriously with the negative blood tests. Trust me Grandpa Viv I've definitely googled it... alot. :) I really hope I am.

Hi. Just to give an update I went in to see my gyno today after taking 2 more tests that were both positives. My doc said that the only reason for all the positives would b pregnancy and she is just as stumped as I am about the negative blood tests. She is doing another blood test and took a sample of my discharge as well to test for possible infection. I know gross but increased discharge is another symptom of pregnancy. Another strange thing.... while doing a v____al exam she found that my uterus is in a weird position. Something about that its tiled backwards. What could that mean?

Congratulations! Google "retroverted uterus" to find that your situation is not unusual. Yes, "lotion discharge" is a frequent sign. It may get bad enough to require panty liners.

I still don't know for sure if i'm pregnant. Is a retroverted uterus a sign of pregnancy? I'm so confused. I wish the doctor would just do a ultrasound to be sure.

Google "retroverted uterus" to find that your situation is not unusual, and is not a sign of pregnancy. I wonder why she did not have you do a urine test in the office, just to prove the point. Goog luck with the results of the blood test!
