Don't feel crazy but I had my tubes tied after my third child that was a year and a half ago but today I have a positive test result i am not sure what to think about it!!!

Well I dont knoe if this will hep but I too Had my tubes tied in january 2004 but today i have a positive test result Plus i had all the symptoms I feel pregnant

I am very glad to have found this thread, as I have the same scenerio as you all do. I had twins in 1998, and was scheduled to have my tubes tied after the Csection. A few days after the doc appt and signing the release to have the tubiligation, I developed preeclampsia, and was admitted in the hospital to wait out a week before my obgyn would do the Csection. I only a__sumed that bc this info was in my chart, that during the surgery, he would tie my tubes. Later, I asked them if they had anything in my chart stating that he had performed the tubiligation. The nurse could not find any record that it was performed. So honestly I have no clue whether they are tied or not lol Since then, I have had regular periods... never late. At the moment I am now 3 weeks late... my b___sts have been really sore for over a week now, as well as I have had constant light discharge for two weeks now, but no burning or itching. Little things pop up every now and again.. symptoms that I remember "HEY! I did that with my firstborn!" such as a very itchy back the first two weeks. This past weekend, I had a small amount of blood a couple of times only when I wiped, then it was gone. I did the same thing right after I found out I was preg with my firstborn, and was told that was normal. Tonight, I have begun feeling that all too familiar feeling of bloating in my abdomin. So I am scheduling an appt with my obgyn to find out, even tho I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. (but we wont get into the accuracy of those things lol) I have found myself bouncing back and forth with the idea that maybe I am pregnant, and then again maybe I am not pregnant bc my tubes may or may not be tied. I have been holding off, not really wanting to get my hopes up only to find out that it may just all be in my head. I havent thought about it much, yet each day I am reminded by the fact that I could very well be preg bc of the symptoms I have. I have read many stories online of successful pregnancies after tubiligations. And I am also aware of the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy occuring if fertilization takes place after tubes are tied. It is probably the scariest thought yet that I have found. I wanted to express some hope to everyone here. I know I have read on several posts here about how each one of us knows our bodies better than anyone else... and couldnt agree with that more! Sure, there are precautions and risks.. and at the same time there is a phenonemous amount of a__surance in that anything is possible. I do believe that in time, the body is quite capable of healing itself. And burned, cut, or whatever the case... tubiligations are no acception to this. So all I am really saying is this... with all the testimonies I have read just on this site alone, of numerous neg HP tests only to find out that you are in fact pregnant...that alone speaks quite loudly to me! And pregnancy after a tubiligation is just as likely :) I wish nothing but the best for all of you here!

Well today I went to see the doc and their test was very positive !!! My tubes were tied but now this. I had an ultrasound but mt doc said I may have a tubal pregnancy because the pregnancy isn't normal thre is a fluid sac but no fetus I am either having a miscarriage or have an ectopic pregnancy. I honestly was relieved to find out I am not really prego I have all the kids I need three is enough !!! So now I wait to see where this prgnancy is really at and than probably get a shot to flush it through my tubes !! I am the second person this happened to at my docs office in thirty years she ended up prego !!Talk about some luck huh??

To Fairies: Did they tell you how far along they thought you were? How many days late are you for your period? I still have no period today. That makes 17 days late!

to: Bobby well definitly go to the doc for your own safety you need to know if it is ectopic because mine was!!! I am seven and a half weeks pregnant!!!

I did go for an ultrasound a couple weeks ago to check my tubes for cysts and they did find cysts on my ovaries but no ectopic pregnancy. I was told though that it was too early at that point to see anything in the uterus if I am pregnant because I would have only been a couple weeks pregnant. I keep hearing that you have to be around 6 weeks pregnant before you can see anything. Plus with larger people it may be longer before you can see anything because of their size. I am 205 pounds. I am thinking it was too early for the ultrasound but am scared to go to my doctor again and say that. I have decided though that if I don't get my next period, due anywhere between wednesday the 20th and Friday the 22nd of this month, I am going back and asking for another ultrasound. I will wait until I am at least a week late for this next period though before I go back. By then, if I am pregnant, they should be able to see "something", right?

I got my tubes tide 10 years age can i still have that chance to have a baby?because feel like i im and hope and pray everyday that i im .

well I am not sure because my friend was two weeks prego and she had a heartbeat dont count on it but tomorrow I go for my sugery they are going to clean out my uterus try to find the pregnancy and fix my tubes they are not able to see the pregnancy via ultasound they dont know where it is!!strange huh??

To Fairies: Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. Hope all goes well for you. Still no period here. I am so anxious. I don't really want to wait until two weeks from tomorrow to go ask for another blood test. I want another one now, but I am sure it will show up negative again unless I wait. I was 10 weeks pregnant with my son before anything showed up either in my urine or my blood. Weird huh! According to the "charts", I am supposedly 6 weeks pregnant today, that is if I ovulated and got pregnant when the "charts" say I did. But, who knows. I will just wait and see if my next period comes I guess. Let me know how you make out with your surgery. Again, good luck to you!

Question: i am 43, and for the past 3 month i have been getting what looks like a period only, no cramps, and its darker then normal, plus i am always a week early, i have the belly size, the bloated feeling, shortness of breath, fatigue, peeing alot, tell me is it possible to be pregnant, oh and yes i did do the hpt and the third one was positive i bought it in super g, but one line was horizontal and the other vertical, the name of the test was care one. if any one has an answer plz let me know my email is tweetybrdrulz@hotmail.com one other thing i did have a laproscopic tubal ligation done in 86, i got pregnant in 97 lost the baby due to stress. so i know it is possible to get pregnant ofter a tubal. this month i got my . on the 9th but it was only pink and very light as in i could have worn the same pad for all 3 days but i changed every three hours just to keep track. i have every sign of being pregnant except the tests, i am gonna just wait and see i guess

I am 30, Had my tubes tied March 31, 2002 within 10 hours of having my 4th child. I have since read that the sooner you have it done after having your child... especially by csection the more chances you have of becoming pregnant. I am not sure how my tubes were done, whether it was by clamps, tied, burnt, or a combination. I am going to look into that. I have had regular periods ever since my tubes were tied. I have even found a place to track them online so I don't have to remember when my last one was. I did this because I had a scare last year where I was nauseous and had sore b___sts and was even urinating more. Just happens I didn't calculate things right and was off a few days. Probably had the flu or something. Well according to the records, which are very accurate, my last period was June 21st and so my period should have started yesterday or today. Still no signs of it though. I took a test 3 days ago, it was negative. I took it because I was feeling nauseous and have been urinating a lot more than usual. I also have this pain in my lower right side that comes and goes like ligiments are stretching. Also when I am nauseous it feels like I am starving. So I eat something. I feel ok for about an hour or so and then it happens again. At this rate I am eating all day long or about every 2 hours and its the only way that I don't feel sick. I remember this happening with my last pregnancy. I am going to take another test in the morning and see what happens. I know that if I am pregnant its God's plan for my life and I wouldn't be disappointed since I have always regretted having my tubes tied. Just knowing that I could have a reversal or do IVF is about the only thing that has kept me sane. Anyway, If I am pregnant, this baby will be due around March 28. Which is just great because my oldest has a birthday March 26 and my youngest is March 31... How weird is that. LOL I will let you know what happens. Spreading baby dust to all those that wish to be pregnant... :)

well I had my surgery and everything went well thel found the pregnancy in the tubes and removed it also gave me a d n c so everything is ok I got my period and feel ok just cramping in the tube a little where the pregnancy was but all is well thnks for the encouragement bobby anyhow did you find out if you are prego or what???

I went in to the health department today and took a test. It came back negative however I still don't have any signs of my period. So if it still hasn't started by this weekend or early next week I will go and buy another test and see what happens then.

I am 22 years old. I have 4 year old daughter and a baby boy on the way. Well my husband and I don't want any more kids after this one. We strongly agreed to this and bascially I want to get my tubes tide.
