Grandpa Viv I am not pregnant and do not plan to get pregnant. That why I need Birth control! Condoms don't work as we don't use them correctly or every time. I ask my Boy friend what he wanted for Christmas and he said he wanted to make love to me. So I gave him a dozen condom for Christmas so I would not get pregnant. Have you thought to clue your mom in to the situation so that she can help you stay out of trouble? Please check out the v____al spermicides on the family planning shelf. Used alone they are not good contraception, but they are an important safety precaution against condom failure. Read and follow the instructions. Read up on PlanB in case you have a major mishap at ovulation time. Try to avoid s_x altogether in the fertile window. You don't say how old your bf is. Grandpa Viv My bf is 14 1/2 and lives next door we have been best buds for years. When I was six I told him is was going to marry him. We both ride the same bus home from school and have an hour and half alone before parents come home from work. We have been using this time to make love. Megan, slow down, girl! I can see that it is difficult to avoid temptation. You are going to be pregnant before you can say OOPS! Are you menstruating on a regular cycle? If so, the egg comes about 14 days before your expected period. The egg is only good for one day, but sperm can lie in wait for 5 days. Adding a margin of safety, they say your fertile window is cycle day 8 thru 16 of 28. That makes the ten days before your period fairly safe. Many women notice fertile mucus during the fertile window - like raw egg white, stretchy between thumb and forefinger. Think of it as sperm friendly mucus. You may also feel an ovulation cramp when the egg lets go, and that is when you are most likely to want s_x (not fair!). Did you look for the v____al spermicide when you bought the condoms? Make putting the condom on him part of foreplay. Change the way you make love so you start on top, with more control over the condom and when he enters. Grandpa Viv How can I tell when I am making an egg? I started my period last year (March 2010 at 11 1/2) but it is not regular. Sometimes I get it in as short as 4 weeks and some times it takes 5-6 weeks. If the egg comes 14 days before my period how can I tell when to use condoms. Got some spermicide but I don't like the cold slimmy feel of it after we make love and I can't wash it out for more than8 hours. Yuk!

Until your menstrual cycle becomes regular, you need to use condoms plus spermicide every time. Sorry about the yuck factor - do it anyway or you will join the ranks of "parents too soon". There are things women do to get some kind of fix on ovulation (egg day). A finger check shows the v____al mucus (discharge) becoming clear, slippery, and stretchy. The cervix (entrance to the uterus - another finger check) goes from low, closed, easy to find, hard like the tip of your nose to Soft, High, Open, Wet (SHOW). This check is best done in the same position every day, squatting in the shower or with one foot on the bathtub rail. Fingers clean, please. Fertile mucus and SHOW cervix both indicate ovulation is close. When ovulation occurs there may be a slight cramp, high s_xual drive, and some mild PMS signs. A couple of days after this, the risk of pregnancy drops quickly.

Please talk to your mom tonight. She can get you PlanB, strong hormones that will stop you getting pregnant from yesterday's escapade. PlanB has to be taken inside 72 hours of the incident, the sooner the better.Then she can get you on regular birth control pills, or Depo Provera shots, whatever the doctor recommends. My hope for you at this stage is that you are not producing mature eggs, but we can't be sure of that. A thirteen year old friend of a friend was doing exactly what you are - latchkey kid s_x - and she got pregnant the first time a good egg came down. Im not pregnant. I got depo for birth control and Mom told me I can have s_x anytime I want just as long as it is in my bedroom. Bf loves birth control as he does not use condom's any more and can come inside me all the time. Having s_x almost every day after school. I can't wait until I am 16 and can have a baby.

I encourage you to postpone baby making until you have an education and a marriage under your belt. Your children deserve such a mom. The average age for women these days is around 28, wich probably seems a long way away.

You can't wait till your 16 and can have a baby?! Are you insane? You're 12 years old and it saddens me to think of how naive young girls are today. I'm 18 years old, I've become an adult by falling pregnant and so far its been the scariest thing of my life. My son is due in just over 8 weeks and the father of my son (17yrs) walked out on us when I fell pregnant. I only graduated because I got my GED and I'm only able to go to college because my parents are 1000% supportive. I work full time, support my own self and have the worlds biggest support system but it's still going to be unbelievably hard. Think about what you're doing, protect yourself and be smarter then you are. You don't get a second chance at being young when you're a mom, your child becomes your world and yes that feeling is the most amazing thing but it's so much more special when you're married and when your child's father loves you and wants only you the rest of his life and you child is created from how much love you have for eachother
