teddy---- the cuts are super small. my surgery was 2 years ago and you can barely even see the scars. i am not sure about the pumping gas thing. i was out cold during the procedure so they may have. i know i was bloated or anything afterwards. but the recovery was pretty quick. so hopefully you have the same luck!
