I am sixteen years old. I'm single. But was dating someone for a short amount of time. We were having unprotected s_x.. I havent had my period since. I'm a little nervous.. I have told a few of my close friends.. but not my parents. They would kill me. And I havent told my ex boyfriend either.. I dont want to scare anyone. I turn 17 in September.. Is there any way to get out of my house legally without parental concent if i am pregnant? Please help.

I'm 17 and pregnant and I had to get out of my house. Luckily for me though my grandmother decided it best if I moved out. You could possibly get emancipated but there are a lot of things you have to go through to do that. It might be best to talk to your parents. I know you think they will kill you (and they will probably want to) but they are your parents and they care about you. They will be more understanding than you think.

I'm sorry you feel so alone. Birthright or Foster Care or a sympathetic relative are the solutions that come to mind. Are you having early signs of pregnancy apart from a late period? Take a test to be sure, then confront the issue of whether to tell the parents. They may be more supportive than you think. If they are the abusive kind, or heavy into substance abuse, walk into the Health Department or Social Services and tell them your story. Good luck!
