what i also found out that helped was masaging my tummy.Maybe your man would do that for you. very lightly of course. also a heating pad was very helpful, on low heat.

PreciousBaby19 - October 24

i could still feel some but at least they were muted a bit.

AddysMummy - October 24

Yeah with me walking makes them worse :( I have to relax and take a bath or Jeff rubs my belly to make them go away, so..

I'm sorry about your BH, Ashley. Don't worry, you'll have Bella soon! Mine were never really that bad, but VERY often. I'd just drink a ton of water and they'd get better. It's really hard to keep hydrated during pregnancy, so I'm sure it would help :)

ha your so narrow minded!

angelmonkey - October 25

and ashley if you actuall read this post i replyed for advice for you! so maybe you really should stop being narrow minded and have a proper look at what has been going on! yes i reply and argue back as im not going to let people tell me im wrong when im no! so you dont like the drama tell the right people to stop it!

i'm going to have to say walking does NOT help with braxton hicks. it's supposed to work for some, but a lot of women don't like to move much less walk during a braxton hicks.

Teddyfinch - October 25

ashley: i've been having mine pretty frequently too. since about the 18th i have them all day now. every 15 minutes to 2 hours apart. good fun lol. when i get them, i don't even move. i just practice my breathing and wait for them to pa__s. walking is absolutely not what i think of lol. my husband will say "the doc said walking may help" and i think the look in my eyes is enough for him to forget about that idea and just say "ok sweetie just breeeeath" lol. i don't mind them so much but now they're preceeded by big cramps in my back. hopefully i'm having this baby soon. pain pain every day!

angelmonkey - October 25

teddy thats understandable if walking is uncomfrotable for you but my point was i do get them and i find walking helps.i think others maynget them less or more intence than some as mine are no that bad

Teddyfinch - October 25

yeah, you probably don't have a problem walking because your baby isn't actually low yet. if your baby was low like your midwife seems to have mistaken, walking would not be the first thing on your mind when that lovely feeling washes over you.

angelmonkey - October 25

she,s defo low! when i listen to her heart its like where i imagine my cervix to be lol but i seriously dont get tham that bad! i find if i walk they get tighter than relax a lot longer which is comfortable for me...........and when they told me my baby was low it was at my scan and we could actually see her that wsa at 14 weeks though so shemay have moved but sheseems low to me but im just making my point of my doc wasnt mistaken she saw her on the screen with her head down by my cervix im not saying she was station or wahtever but the position she was in is called c something i dont know its in my pregnancy notes but it means the birthing postion i just want to clear that up! but teddy unless you aresomeonewho has bh iand can walk them away dont try to indicate im lying

Teddyfinch - October 25

they don't have to have the doppler over her heart to hear it. she may be "lower" but she isn't low yet lol. trust me, you'll know when she really is. and she isn't in the birthing position. that would be engaged which she isn't otherwise that would be a bad thing. head down doesn't equal low. and as someone who has bh all day every day now, don't try to pretend like you know jack kid. your uterus still has plenty of room for your baby. your baby is tiny compared to mine. i am over 3 months ahead of you. it stands to reason. but i have tried walking them away and it did work at first, with the weenie contractions, but when the baby means business, it doesn't work for a lot of women, as a lot of ladies have said here. so until you're over 30 weeks with a baby that's big and actually low and head down, don't try to indicate i don't know what i'm talking about =)

angelmonkey - October 25

teddu caml down im just saying they do work when i walk! they probably wont when my baby is sqyashed but she isnt yet so thats probably why they work for me i havenever had a squashed bbay inside of me before so i woulsnt know loli was just suggesting! you really read in to thongs to much i wasnt indicating anything! maybe that i know my body better than you and you know yours better than me........

Hey ashley, does Bella ever get like RIGHT into your ribs? I was told a great way to feel better about that. If you stretch back a bit, and rub inwards where she is in your ribcage, but you have to use the balm of your hand and PRESS then take both hands curl them behind your back and stretch as far back as you can, that usually gets them out and keeps them outa your ribs :)p

durante baby - October 25

walking deffinatly dont help the braxton hicks. Then telling you to walk is just there way of trying to get you off your a__s and walk so the baby can move into position. what i found really helped was taking a bath, or i would lay on my side in the fetal position. When i was in pml with my first little on they told me not to rub my belly or not to let hubby rub my belly they said that stimulated contraction...when i would be sitting on my couch pregnant with #2 i would being having braxton hickk and i would do things to see what would stimulate them, so at the end of my pregnancy when it was time to just get baby out i could use some of those thingg.....nipple stimulation and belly rubbing at the same time was deffinatly the largest cause of bh and contractions when i was in labor
