Can Guardisil Shot Cause Spotting

I got the first shot when I was pregnant [before I knew, obviously] and my Dr. didn't mention spotting as a side effect. If you are pregnant, you have to start the series over again after you give birth, which sucks because I thought that shot really hurt :[ Good luck!

Oh, I just read the rest of the thread. My dr. it was too new to know for sure but they have a number to call for mom's to report any deformities [scary]. But she also said most likely the first shot won't do too much harm.

I didn't think it hurt at all... But my second shot did make me really dizzy, I felt like I was going to faint. When my sister got it she started crying and refused to go back for the other two. She has pretty much no pain tolerance though. *shrugs*

angel gardasil is a vaccine for hpv, high risk hpv can cause cervical cancer in women so now they are offering a vaccine for it.

It prevents cervical cancer and other I guess symptoms or side effects of HPV. Two of my friends were diagnosed with HPV and they don't really seem to care, they are spreading it like wildfire. I had decided to get the shot after that even though it's pretty unlikely that I will get it because I'm only ever planning on having s_x with one person for the rest of my life (and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way lol)... But better safe than sorry I suppose.

amanda17 - May 13

It doesn't actually prevent HPV itself.

amanda that's terrible, i hate to hear about ppl who spread around things like that. people just don't care anymore!!! ugh i swear the world's gonna end like TOMORROW. i can feel it. ha...

Well she got it, then she gave it to her boyfriend, then they broke up... Then she started dating some coke dealer so I really don't care if he gets it :P

that's one dirty love triangle LOL. i know someone like that. she used to be one of my BEST FRIENDS until she started giving her vag to every s___t in the city. some people just don't have any standards...

Pssst! Just so you know, 8O% of women contract hpv at some time in their life. It usually clears itself up on its own. There are over 13O strains of hpv and only a few can cause cervical cancer or genital warts. Guardasil protects against 7O% of those few strains. If you've had s_x, odds are more than likely you've had some form of it at some time. Only the high risk types are considered a big deal.

Sorry....they had posters in my OB's office in every room for it and I read them over and over waiting lol
