Hi everyone. I need advice and help. The other night, my boyfriend and I had unprotected s_x; we have been for the past three to four months. Last night we made a decision that he was going to c_m in me and I was going to take the morning after pill, hoping it was going to work for me. Without thinking of the side effects of the morning after pill, he came in me. Now that I see the side effects, I am thinking of not taking the morning after pill but I know the effects of becomming pregnant. I'm not taking the morning after pill, but what I want to know is what are the chances of me getting pregnant. We had unprotected s_x the 21st of February and I am expected to get my period the 9th of March. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Advice would be great, thank you.

You can almost get pregnant at any time ;
when you are young you are very fertile.Take the pill if you want to enjoy youself more during intercourse.
Once pregnant it's a lfe you have decision to make and maybe considering abortion if you decise not to have a baby ,in that case you should defently take the day after pill. IAbortion changes your life and the future of a baby it should not be taken lightly in the 21 century girls should be more mature and not use abortion asa method of contaception that's just stupid.

I would never get an abortion, I couldn't live with myself, just knowing that I took a life. Once something important dies, a part of you dies too. I am very mature for my age and I am not like most girls, I dont go out and party and make a complete a__s out of myself. I am independent, mature, and I take responsibility for my own actions. If I become pregnant I will do everything in my power to make sure this baby is healthy and in good hands.

You should *never* plan on using the morning after pill. It is for emergencies only. You need to get yourself on birth control. You had s_x during your fertile time, so the likeliness of pregnancy is very high.

You will be ovulation around Feb 23rd, so you picked the absolute most ideal time to try to conceive. Of course since you are not trying to conceive, I guess that's more like "the worst possible time". You have about a one in three chance of conceiving.
The side effects, unless you have a history of blood clots or other serious conditions, are annoying and inconvenient, but far less annoying and inconvenient than 9 months of pregnancy and 18 years of raising a child. If it were me, the choice would be obvious. Remember that the morning after pill decreases in effectiveness after 48 hours after unprotected s_x (but still provides some protection up to 72 hours), so if you can't find a 24 drug store to get it at, be there for the moment they open tomorrow.

1 in 3 chances isn't "more likely" to get pregnant than not, but there sure are odds you don't want to be playing around with when you don't want to get pregnant.
What side-effects of the morning after pill concern you too much to take it?

I'm 18 and in the future I want kids but right now I dont know. If I am pregnant my life would change not just because I am having a child but I would be so happy to know I am birthing life. I would do everything in my power to make sure they have a life they deserve. They would be number one. Does it really seem like i want to be pregnant?

Erm, yeah kinda. I mean to make the decision to let your boyfriend ejaculate inside of you in the first place is a little weird, then refusing to take the morning after pill due to...side effects? The side effects of having a child are A LOT worse than the side effects of the pill. It would make more sense if you wanted to get pregnant and were using side effects as an excuse then if you were actually telling the truth. Both are, of course, very possible... just one makes more sense than the other in my opinion.

You seem to have fallen into the trap of a woman being most receptive to s_x when she is most fertile. The side effects of PlanB are not that bad - it is just an overdose of regular birth control hormones. You are probably ovulating today - its not too late to take it. Buy some condoms for future use. I understand its a weird position and maybe I want to be pregnant but I just dont want to admit it. So to be honest I would like a child, I know that I will be a great mother and I know that my boyfriend would be a great father. Both of us will do anything in our power to make sure this baby is living a happy, healthy, life. My parents will be upset at first but will support me. When will I know for sure if I'm pregnant?

Yeah.... see, you wanting to get pregnant but not wanting to admit it is a red flag that you shouldn't purposely get pregnant. You obviously know it's dumb and too soon. It's totally natural for people to want to have kids. If none of us had that hormone in us, our race would die out. But it's stupid and irresponsible to purposely try to get pregnant when you know you aren't ready. Use your head, take the morning after pill.

I would be ready and my boyfriend would too me and my boyfriend have been talking about this for the past couple days now and you know, we are pretty solid on if I am pregnant we have a plan.

Its not a silly story, it actually happened but I cant tell my parents I want a child, having a child is a wonderful thing and I know it would be hard but I know we can do it. My boyfriend and I love kids, he would be a great father and I know i will be a great mother.
