I'm having the same problem. It's not that she isn't hungry it's just that she gets fussy every time my nipple goes anywhere near her. I just posted about it in the infant forum. I really don't have any idea what to do. It's frustrating :\

It's probably just a phase.. my daughter went through the SAME thing.. you should just put some food in front of him and see what he does. Sometimes it's as simple as him wanting to give it to himself :)

Ohhhh yeah good thinking Addy, my nephew went through that wanting-to-feed-himself stage. It was a hugeeeee mess haha. Ashley, does Dominik feed himself yet?

I hear this is very common at that age. I obviously have not seen it in my own daughter yet (she's a little sow in the making :) ) However I observed my sister's toddlers with this same behavior, and a friend's toddler. They are probably just to eager to explore to eat! As long as he seems healthy and active there is likely little cause for concern (I know, sooo easy for any mom to say). And of course try the advice of these other women, maybe he just wants to do it all by himself.
