first off i want to congrat Tess & Ashley for the birth of those BEAUTIFUL babies Victoria & Bella! Sorry I wasnt here to comment on your birth post......Anyways we got back last night from our 8 day vacation. It was GREAT! 6 days at disneyland and 1 day at Knotts berry farm was exhusting to say the least. We stayed in my home town of Buena Park. I missed it so much. my elementary school is right next door. Brought back some of the only happy memories of my childhood and some of the bad. (just a bit of a vent here --->) went to visit my little brothers grave in huntington beach. It took us 3 hours to find it. The reason being that, I havent visited since i was a kid and the only memory i have of his plot was there being no grass just white rocks over it because he had just been burried. I remember I was about 5 and saying to my mom "arent the rocks going to cut him?"...That always stuck with me because i made my mother cry.......anyways after getting his plot number from memorial services, we searched over and over again, found where it should be and couldnt find it. finally we got someone out there to help us and they looked back in the files and it turns out my parents never got him a plack!!! so his grave was covered by grass and no plack....I am really outraged by this. I remember we had a huge funeral. but NO PLACK? I would rather have a small funeral and a plack or NO funeral and a plack. So dh and i are planning on getting him one. In the mean time we left him flowers and my only option was to make him my own plack with a index card, and stick it in the ground. I guess i am just really disturbed by the fact that everyone walks all over his grave because there is no plack to define that he is there. I walked on him a few times myself. it was very emotional for me, but i felt better that we made it there, found him, and left somthing there for him......Anyways sorry i just cant believe my parents!....How is everyone else doing and how is everyones little ones doing?

I'm glad your vacation went well db! I remember going to a funeral once and they had so little room on the ground that they were burying people inside the walls. One dead body piled up on top of the other! THAT disturbed me! How was the boys' Christmas?

God this post really made me miss Cali!! I miss Knotts berry farm!! Well I think I'm going to have to go to the store and buy their jam and get over it! Anyway...glad that the vacay was good and so sorry about your brother. Disrespect of those pa__sed on is always disturbing. It's really sweet that you and your husband are thinking about getting him that much deserved plaque.
You actually made me think of my sister. It gave me such chills. She's buried out in Cali of course, and it always bothered me that she isout there by herself. She died as a baby and it's like her mom and dad are nowhere around. She was just left out there alone. I mean I'd feel better if shewas burried around some family. No one visits her grave, no one talks about her in any good light. Ahh, I'm gonna get off the subject...

Well I was born in Redlands, lived in Rialto/Fontana area until we moved out to Kansas. Now when I go back I am usually between LA and Long Beach visiting my aunts. Actually one of my aunts lived in Redondo.
DB-I hope you don't mind, but what did your brother pa__s from? My sister was actually older than me so she died before I was born, but it seems I'm the only one who tries to hold on to her memory. She pa__sed from her intestines exploding. Totally doctors' and hospital's fault. My mom went into that hospital at 7 months because of a fever and weird feelings and her water broke while there. They got her fever down and sent her home. Well as we all know, your water breaks and they usually want you to have the baby within a certain time to avoid complications. Ummm a month later my moms back in the hospital and they delivered the baby. It never dawned on them to be extra careful with her. They kept feeding her and didn't seem to take notice that...hmmm....she's not pooping. After a few days she stopped wanting to eat, was all bloated and funny colored and they just kept trying to force her to eat. It turns out that an infection was created probably in the womb (cause even my mom had to stay in the hospital longer) and it ended up getting in her intestines and causing blockage. So any idiot can put two and two together and figure-force feeding, no pooping, intestine exploding. They didn't even catch that in time and she died from the poisoning. This was in the 80's not like the 30's so there was no excuse for so much error. The sad thing is she died on my other sister's birthday, and was the beginning of MANY issues that haunt my sis.
Amanda-seriously, step away from the Knott's jam, you know it's full of crack! O God the worst is the blueberry syrup. I'm not a big fan of syrup, but that c___p, I'll use a whole bottle in a day-finding anything to dip in it. Seriously, it's the crack in it! LOL

Haha I don't even go anymore. My uncle is obsessed with Disneyland. His whole house is like Disneyland themed and he spends all his time looking up what new rides are coming... He has a year pa__s and goes EVERY day he can. So, when I was little I went pretty much everyday since he had no one else to go with him. Now he goes with his mom... (he's 50 and unmarried) ... Needless to say I got sick of it pretty fast.
