I use Garnier Fructis for my hair, Dove for body wash and Maybelline for mascara. They all work pretty good... not amazing. Garnier smells amazing though.

I use John Fredia. I love love love it! My hair is flat and blah and doesnt hold style at all. Garnier made my hair feel like i hadnt even washed it. Really heavy and oily. I use Olay body ribbons bodywash with lotion and maybelline mascara. I just tried the new Almay eye brightner and i love it. It works really well.

Try Infusium. I get the one for extra moisture. My hair has highlights in it, so it really helps with the dryness...and it smells good. As far as body wash, I use suave. I like it because there are many different scents and it doubles as a good lather for shaving your legs.

Oh yeah my hair is really dry and damaged so Garnier Fructis makes it smoother. I guess it depends on your hair type.

Dove always did wonders for my hair... although I have no clue what kind of hair one might call mine, so perhaps it's just me.

Thanks for all the great ideas :) I am gonna try it one at a time, see what works see what doesn't. heheee.

Addy it sounds like you need shampoos that don't have that waxy substance in it. I can't remember what they call it but it pretty much coats your strands like a wax. For some, it is great and keeps their hair sleek and shiny looking (like my curly, easily frizzed, thick mess) but for other's it makes their hair feel and look like they slopped a handful of grease on it. I say this because you said Pantene and Garnier make your hair all funny and they are the top products for having that waxy stuff in it. I do agree that products like dove will help because they don't have all that gunk in it. I had tried Herbal essences degunkify (which is in a clear blue bottle) it removed a lot of the built up substance in my hair but and didn't seem to have much wax in it.
