At 5 weeks there is no baby technically. The problem occurs because the b__w could have jerked your uterus and caused problems in the blood vessels and/or where the baby has attached to your uterus. That's significant only because that is your baby's lifesource. Heres some rea__suring news. I got elbowed in my stomach with a lot of force when I was around 6-8 weeks pregnant with my son. The doctor told me the same thing because I started having horrible cramps and bleeding. Well my son is two now and perfectly healthy. The thing is this, I continued having slight problems throughout my pregnancy. I always had a slight cramp on my left side where I got hit, and walking longer distances was difficult-I'd get a burning sensation like I was having circulation problems. When I had an ultrasound they noticed that I had a bloodflow problem on the left side to the placenta. They were concerned that this could mean that the baby wasn't getting enough nutrients, and would have problems. They had me go in for another ultrasound at 30 weeks. I did so and things were fine. The problem was still there but it was like the right side was overcompensating for the left. They thought that might be why I had such a weird pain in my legs, especially the right. So yeah there could be slight damage but it doesn't have to mean it's detrimental because it IS so early on andthings are still in the beginning of growing and attaching. It's really at a point where most likely if the things are that messed up, your body will push it out. Otherwise it will try to fix itself. Remember-there are plenty of women who were further along than you who have had horrible falls, there are athletes who continue their sport until they are showing, and some have even had slight b__ws to their stomachs. Just take it easy, and you might want to consider not playing any sports anymore. Because really you may have caused some stress and don't want to push it. Really there is hope, just take it easy, and wait it out. If you aren't feeling horrible cramps and have no bleeding, you will most likely be fine. I was and I had bleeding off and on for two-three weeks.

You will likely be just fine. As long as you aren't bleeding there should be plenty of padding to protect your little one. Just take it easy now that you're pregnant. I fell down the stairs twice with my daughter, once at 20 weeks and once at 40 weeks. She is just fine, and I fell pretty hard. I got more banged up than my uterus.
