V: yeah my hubby's actually going to take his laptop to the hospital, so if they let me play on it, i will lol. we're WoW nerds, and time can fly by during that, so i might even try to play some of that lol. honestly, i'm not even worried about the pain. i just don't want labor to start while i'm duking it out with diarrhea lol. but i also heard that could be a sign that labor is close? i swear just like i was sign watching when i was trying to get pregnant, now i'm sign watching for labor lol.

yeah actually sudden diarrhea usually happens right around labor! That's why I've been saying-something is up with you-also it's proobably better to have diarrhea before so you don't have to be one of the ones who loses it when pushing! LOL! Sorry for anyone who did, I just would have been really really embarra__sed and unable to live it down if it happened to me. My sister in law did, and God my stupid brother called everyone to tell that the baby was born, and just had to tell everyone that the baby was great but it really stank in there because she pooped when pushing!!! God I'd kill him if I were here!!

I had Victorias middle name before I had her first lol. At first I was going to name her after my sister, but then I decided against it because it would be odd for me and my family. So instead we have taken my sisters middle name and used it for Victorias. Victoria Anne.

I have a question...i have always wondered about this. my friends had group B strep, and kept on saying "oh its no big deal they just give you some antibiotic when you are in labor" Then i was asking her about it and she said she had it with all her kids and if you have it with one pregnancy you will have it for all pregnancies...Is that true? second this particular friend of mine ended up not making it to the hospital and having her baby on the freeway (true story! man it was nuts!) anyways since she didnt get those antibiotics when she was in labor and before she delivered, what could have happened?

it's a bacteria that's found in 15-35% of healthy women. it lives in our intestines, v____as, and rectums and it's easily treatable with penicillin (unless you're me and allergic lol) and as long as you can get the treatment before your water breaks or you deliver, the baby should be fine. the chances of the baby catching it are 1 in 200 if the mom isn't treated and it goes down to 1 in 6000 if the mom does get treated. if you pa__s it to the baby, they can catch sepsis (infection of the blood) or meningitis and a few other infections and it can be life threatening for the baby. it isn't an std or anything, so you can't spread it to a partner and you can't try to treat it before labor because it will go away but will come back possibly by the time you deliver so the safest time to treat is when you go in for delivery. and if your water breaks at home, you're supposed to go in to the hospital immediately so they can give you the treatment. so much for me not wanting an IV lol.
