YEA SO I'M LAYING HERE AND I'M CURIOUS. ITS NOT THE 1ST TIME I'VE FELT IT ONLY ITS MOVING DOWN EACH TIME I FEEL IT. OK SO AT THINS EXACT MOMENT, THERE'S THIS STEADY THROBBING IN MY PELVIS. ITS REAL STEADY TO THE POINT WHERE IT FEELS LIKE MY HEARTBEAT BUT ONLY ITS TOO SLOW TO BE MY PULSE, I'VE MEASURED. MY PULSE IS FASTER. THERE MIGHT BE ONE OR TWO BEATS IN THE TROBBING THAT ARE OFF BUT FOR THE MOST PART, THE PACE HAS REMAINED THE SAME. I CAN FEEL IT IN MY HAND IF I TOUCH IT, BUT I'M STILL NOT SURE WHAT IT IS. ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCE THIS? THANKS

Maybe it's your baby's heartbeat.

Sounds like your baby has the hiccups. Mine gets them like twice a day and thats what it feels like. Its getting lower as your babys head gets lower.

I would definately say its the hiccups. I think shes describing it as a throbbing because thats the only way she can think of. Which it is sorta like that. Like a steady pulsing that lasts for a few minutes or so. Sometimes i can feel them on the outside, sometimes i cant. I actually get quite annoyed during them, i dont like the feeling. Haha Amanda, I was wondering what you were thinking. If its to slow to be her own heartbeat, its definately not the babys, lo.

I must be brain dead hahaha. Now that I read it I'm like "Man that was a dumb answer" I think I said that because I was watching where the heart is and that whole movie basically revolved around her feeling the baby's heartbeat in her tummy... Which I didn't even know you could feel.

i supose people just describe hiccups differently, when i have the ones that i cant feel from the outside it feel like someone is tapping my hip and its so annoying lol! but other times she gets them really strong and my belly moves.

Well in that movie (one of my favorite movies by the way) they used a lot of stuff to make things deep and play into something later. But if we use what we've learned we all know a lot of things they said or believed in was kind of old wifes tales-like. I'm pretty sure you can feel the blood pulsing through the placenta. I did all the time. But not the actual baby's heartbeat. The difference doesn't really matter because the meaninig behind the moment in the movie isn't lost.
To tanyia-these are the moments where your exploring all these strange sensations, but you sound like you are worrying so much over them. Now I worry that you are missing out on that glorious time when you explore all of these strange sensations and bond over the miracle that it is. I hope you have done your reading on what happens to your body through all the stages of pregnancy and labor because if not, this could be why you are missing out. I did and every pain, twinge, bump, etc. made my eyes water because I knew that my body was doing something i never dreamed possible to house and get ready to bring a life into this world. Something a lot of people don't experience, and no men can do. Even though they are strong, muscular, can run faster than anyone, lift cars, etc etc. Your body is changing and unhinging in way your never though possible. And this little life has gone from not even visible to where you feel him kicking back, sleepiing, hiccuping, turning on the television to watch cnn. Another note-I say him in general because I don't know what you are having, and I'm not serious about the tv thing. LOL!
