Raelynn hate to bust your bubble but I'm 23 weeks pregnant and yes I had my period for 3 months and I was and still am pregnant! So Seanette yes you can still be pregnant and have your period! But take a hpt or go to the dr to make sure.

I have heard you can be pregnant and still get your period! What I was wondering is, is it a normal period? Is it heavy for a couple days, then light, is there any clumping or is it just a light period? Do I have to worry if it is a day late, a littl bit shorter then usual, but a little clumping and somewhat heavy?? I had s_x while ovulating once on the 24th and then again on the 28th using the pull out method. I have my period every 30 days and the last one started on May 12th so I figured I was ovulating around the time I had s_x. Well when I was supposed to start on the 11th and there was nothing then I started on the 12th and was light, I was heavy the next day and then light today! If anyone could give me some answers I would greatly appreciate it! Oh and if you can have your period while pregnant, then when is the apporpriate time to take a HPT, will it show the correct results?? Sorry for posting such a long comment! Thanks!

hello, i had s_x about three weeks ago... i was feeling a little ill throughout the day, two weeks after, however i have gotten my period on wed. which is early for me. but i'm still feeling ill. (lite headed, felling sick during the day) if i were to take a PT test while on my period will it show if i am or not. or do i need to wait till my hormon levels are higher? i do know some times the PT test are incorrect, and do not always show you are pregnant, when in fact you are. so my question is, what are the chances of being pregnant and on your period, and can i take a PT while on my period? thank you Kelis

ATTENTION LADIES: You are asking the wrong question. Because if you know the science of a period then you know that you must ovulate and not conceive in order for an actually mense to occur. If you question is it possible for bleeding during pregnancy. ABSOLUTELY. However, if it is heavy and painful you should consult a doctor if you even THINK you are pregnant. Because miscarriages are a serious thing, so are epitopic pregnancies. IF YOU THINK YOU ARE PREGNANT CONSIDER THIS: -Is your "period" early - Are you b___st sore -Do you feel dizzy or faint at times -Are you craving a nap These are all early symptoms. But fyi to all these people talking about IMPLANTATION BLEEDING... its misleading. It has not been proven than any noticable amount of blood is lost during implantation (which occurs around 8 days post ovulation). Bleeding can be cause from a number of reasons.. some not so serious.. some vary serious. This is why you should find out ASAP. All you young girls go to Planned Parenthood. Its about 8 dollars for a hpt. You can even go to an urgent care facility.. they charge around 15 dollars. Ideally you should go to your PCP (personal care physician)... or GYNO... and get a blood test ASAP. PS> False Negatives are common when it comes to pregnancy test. False Positives are so very rare. You might even win the lottery before that happens. They just must put that because of a liability issue. Also when considering tests dont think cheaper is better. However, dont do digital if your testing early on.. they are less sensitive. I recommend First Response if you believe you are around 10-14 days post ovulation. Or EPT anytime after 12 days post ovulation. If you are a week or more late or around 19 days post ovulation... you could even get a test from the dollar store and it would probably show up... this is when your hcg levels are at best testing level.

hey one of my best friends took and test and it came back + but the next 2 weeks she got her period.but when i took a test it came back- but then i started showing signs of being pregnant so i wated a week befor i took another test but befor i could i thought i had my period it came for one day then if left and the next day it came back so i just want to know what happend a friend of mine said the test i was about to take could have been + but then she says if i was i may have lost it i;m just really confused i need help

i got my perios for 5 months while i was pregnant... it is possible... but rare.... i didnt know for sure until i was 5months via ultrasound because even with a blood test my doc said i was only 5 weeks when i was 19 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

i think i'm pregnant but i started my period 5days early and then i took a pregnancy test while i was still on the period......i'm having symptoms like pains in my stomach all the time.. i feel like i'm gonna puke all day.. i get dizzy and i'm tired all teh tiem which is not normal for me.. it there a possibilty that i'm pregnant?

not true, you can get your period while you are pregnant, my sisters best friend had her's all the way through. I am not sure how it happened,and i didnt think it could, but she got her period 5 out of the 9 mths, and 9mths later, she had a baby boy. I am not sure how like i said, but you can. Its VERY RARE! good luck

yes u can have your period while bein preg. i think im pregnant but i came on my period 4 da last three months... i have all da symptons tired all da time headaches lower stomaches pain frequent urining i have back pain all da time i have leg cramps my stomache is even starting to get big but im not sure if im pregnant if im pregnant i can b three months n not know... i took a pregnancy test 1 week after i migh have got preg. it came back negetive i found out it take atleast 3 to 4 weeks to find out your preg. so ima take a test to see if i am or go to the doc.

Its not your period. if your pregnant, it is bleeding which can seem like a period. I just went through this AGAIN, I had what i thought was my period in june, it came normal time, normal flow, and lasted normal 4 days. Based on that period i would have been about 10 weeks pregnant untill i went to the doctor and he said i was 14 weeks, when that would mean that the period in june wasnt a period, it was just bleeding. This is common, but its not your period, i learned that not too long ago.

lil16pregogrl , i would stop worrying about being pregnant and worry more about your abnormal cycles.
