I am pregnant for about 3 weeks.I think that for pregnancy confirmation I have to do a blood examination. Can the gp do this job?Otherwise, I really need a gynecologist. How long will it take to see a public one? In addition, how much would be an appointment to a private one? I am waiting your replies Thank you very much :)

A positive home pregnancy urine test is sufficient to confirm pregnancy. If you plan to continue with the pregnancy, make sure your diet contains enough folate (folic acid) vitamin to minimize the chance of birth defects, then wait until you miss a second period before contacting a GP/NHS. A good source of infomation would be a Marie Stopes clinic - there is one near Regents Park - Euston Station. Call 0845 300 8090 fo good information.
