so many of you know i have been ttc for a few months now so this morning i took an ept hpt. well it was def positive when i first looked at it right after i took it.it was light but positive. well i waited the 3 min looked at it again and now its negative. im so confused am i pregnant or is it a bad test? im gonna take another test in the morning but was wondering if this ever happened to any of you.

It might have been an evap line. You just need to take another test hun.

Hm. I'd say if the first one was positive that's a pretty good chance, since false positives are less common than false negatives. Take another test asap!

I would take another test, positives, even faint ones, usually don't dissappear. I have my pregnancy test i took at 9 days past ovulation, very early to test, but i got a faint positive and 2 years later i can still see it. I think sometimes when the urine is being absorbed across the result window it creates dark spots but after a few min. they go away, it possible that is what you saw.

so i took a test this morning and it was negative:( so im guessing it was and evap line.

I would have to say evap line, but keep in mind it could just be you are in very early pregnancy...I always find out i am pregnant very early on and i use first responce...the positive line is always way lighter and the earlier in pregnancy i am the lighter the line is. it has disapeared for me as well after a little while and has had me just as confused as you are...if still no period take another test in a few days to a week with first morning pee

I've got my fingers crossed the next one is positive. Do you know when you may have conceived? It could be early to test. I dunno I've never heard of an evap line but it sounds kinda weird that you would get a positive when you weren't pregnant?

db- i dont think i have ever talked to you but i have posted a few times. i was on depo provera for 3 almost 4 years. i got my last shot in april and still havent had a normal period. i had spotting around november 12th. and again about 2 weeks later but it was only for a day each time. so i cant really go off a late period it sucks lol. im going to make an appt with an ob to see if there is anything i can do to speed up getting my body back to normal and to get a blood test.
amanda- im still thinking if i am that it would of had to have been between the 1-6 of november but that would of shown up on a test by now wouldn't it? and the positive disappeared after the 3 min were up it was weird.
