an extra like 4oz doesnt mean "big baby" the net says every baby develops different, so while the baby might be an estimated 3lbs 4oz this appointment she might not gain any weight for a week or so to make up for it, what im saying is its hard to tell but unless your midwife says that you have a somewhat large baby i wouldnt be worried she is just growing at a more different rate than the net says.

i wouldn't worry about it. the day before i had kiara, i was told she was 8lb 15oz and that was like a pound and a half light? you know better than anyone if your baby's big feeling to you and my doc says the mom makes a better guess than anyone.

thanks teddy i dont feel she is big, in the scan they said shes going to be quite tall so maybe thats where the weight is coming from............i just get fed up with people saying oh arnt you big ect! or your going to have a big baby! how the f##k do you know lol..wow 8lbs they got that a bit wrong lol

When I was 37/38 weeks with Addy she was born weighing 6 lbs 1 oz and they only gain a half a lb a week towards the end there.

Don't worry. Your baby is just normal. It is just an estimate and they can be way off anyway. As long as your baby is not measuring like 4 weeks behind (or ahead) at this point, then all is fine. If you read some other threads some poor moms were induced early because doc went by u/s sound estimates that their babies were going to be very big or small and thus had to be delivered early....and low and behold they were just normal! thanks...........in my scan her legs messured about a week and a half more sometimes she,l messure like 2 days ahead but im sure its fine i just didnt realise they could weigh that much at 29 weeks lol! and like you iona they could be way off anyway
