iam going nuts with this over n over again. I feel like jumping from a tall building or pulling my hair out. you are right my question is about baby movement. iam 30 weeks and the baby was curling inside last week like a weird feeling now again i feel those kicks and occasional tightnening in one or two spots. He does that only when i eat . He is super lazy is what i feel sometimes .Please share how you baby movements felt or do you have down times during week 30 . i read that baby movements should be at there peak around this time.

Baby movements peak between 28-32 weeks then the baby is pretty big and you will mainly feel rolling and stretching not so much the jabs and kicks anymore. As long as you are feeling movement not including hiccups you should be fine if you are worried call your OB they can send you to L&D and maybe do a NST non-stress test where they can monitor the babies heartrate, movement and contractions.

I just learned last week that it is really better to be safe than sorry. Not to scare the c___p out of you but I was 27 weeks. My little girl was very very active. Then one day she didn't seem so active but I figured it was a lazy day...then a few more days. I was still feeling her but apparently amniotic fluis can move them around and make it seem like they're moving. So a week later I go to the doctor and got the worst news imaginable. So from now on I've told myself I'm calling the doctor for anything at all that worries me the least bit with future pregnancies. Call your doctor you're not the first worried mom. Good luck

When I was around there, I went through a stage where I noticed I didn't feel as much movement but if I looked at my belly, I could see it even when I wasn't feeling it. Also try sitting up, put your hands on your belly, kind of on top of where you feel your uterus, and press down a bit. This would get her to squirm and roll ALL the time, which was very rea__suring.

sarah: your trick worked for me too! It made me laugh. I did it twice yesterday, and baby girl kicked right at me; when I tried a third time, I think she had gone somewhere else where she wouldn't be disturbed!!! :-) Goldfish: I worry about movements all the time. I always have to pay attention, because the movements are not all that strong. Remember that it can also depends on how your placenta is lying: mine is anterior, which means it's towards my back. It's more protected but the Dr told me right from the 12th week u/s that I wouldn't feel the movements as strong because of that...

Hi. Im in my 40th week. I was always concerned about my baby not moving enough, until the last say 6-7 weeks when I feel quite a lot on a regular basis. The types of movements Ive had look like waves waves across the abdomen or feel like squirming movements.. I do get kicks and punches but Ive never had the painful kicks in the ribs people talk about (although ive had some dramatic jabs in the bladder!), and Ive not been able to define feet, elbows etc... like some people said I would. Earlier on in my pregnancy I did go to the hospital a couple of times concerned my baby wasnt moving enough but things were deemed ok after a__sessment, and I was told I only needed to feel 10 movements per day - which doesnt seem a lot to me. Even now, every morning when I wake up I wait to feel my baby move before getting out of bed so that I can feel rea__sured. I can understand how you feel but as the others say.. if you get any worries about changes in movement go and ask the doc to check you out.. it's their job to do this. Drinking a mug of cold water can also get baby moving...

Hi there. Im sure all is ok... but why not speak to the midwife and ask her for an NST or to listen in with a dopplier ...and dont feel silly about doing this - Ive done it a couple of times, the nurses deal with this kind of concern all the time and are usually quite happy to rea__sure you and put your mind at rest..

oh ya the heartbeat is very stable easy to find and strong . Sunday i had been to L & D and made a total fool of myself i had small pain on my right but was more worried about the swelling in vargina . I knew if i said swelling they wouldnt take me in coz legally they cant check me down below coz i have a cerclage down there sorry TMI so i was also having small pain and was extremely freaked out went in there. Now that stupid nurse god knows from where found a couple of contractions and poked me 3 times to stop them . I never felt any contractions at all. I call her stupid becuase she was really stupid lol .. i cant belive my langugage is going so rough day by day. Anyways the reason iam mad is she gives me 3 shots ordered by my OB and then she says the instrument wasnt working well which she used to strap around me during NST. i felt like killing her right there. Ever since iam worried about his movement. Its something like did those shots make him slow do or what. I have GD too so i get worried a lot. but my sugar has been under control and no medications so far which is good. Monday movements were less that sunday , but today he is back up . May be he was growing or that he just likes weekend ....lol coz his dad is at home .

Hi there. My first baby didn't move a whole lot and with having GD that really scared me too. But now shes 10 months old and she has turned out to be such an easy-going, happy baby. She was major chill in the belly and now shes still really chill and very observant of everything. It taught me that its just their little personality. I'm now nine months prego with girl #2 and she sooo active!
Good Luck to you~
