une 2, 2009. Just an average dull boring trip to the hospital for my gestational diabetes/ prenatal appointment. By this time, I was sick of everything. They had even made an appointment at the SAME TIME to have another ultrasound earlier! So there it is, past 3:00. I already had my ultra sound everything looked fine. I was hooked up to the fetal monitor again. Nothing new. Then... the nurse saw contractions? She left and got two doctors in! They checked me out and said I was dilated between 5 and 6! I had to go to the emergency room right away! Abby was supposed to be born in middle or maybe late June. (Original date the 22nd, last date was June 14.) She was still so small too, but I headed over to the hospital with my mom. It was so strange, I didn't even know I was in labor! There was NO PAIN. Then shortly after I went to the room I started to feel the contractions a bit. But once the doctor broke my water bag, I wasn't in bliss anymore and IT HURT! I had to have an epidural! So there I was until around 4:00 in severe pain but once I could push I felt sooo much better! Being able to do something with that pain is why I was pushing really hard and right. After a couple practice pushes, the doctor said I was a real pusher and it wouldn't be long. And it wasn't! 4:25 A.M. on June 3 baby Abby came into my world! She did tear me a bit they said because she came out waving like Miss America. They called her my Little Miss Beauty Pageant. She is so pretty... Just to let you all know, do not worry about tearing. I tore and I didn't even know. The st_tches I did but they weren't half as bad as the pain of labor. So far, baby Abby is still doing fine. She was released just yesterday and is now at home with me. Now at almost 6 pounds, she is doing wonderfully.
