Hi. I currently have a stuffy nose & a really bad cough, but i schedule my c-section for Friday June 6th. Do you think they will still do it, if i have a mild cold? I have no fever. I'm just a little stuffy. What do you think?

I was really sick when I had my c-section. I had a 104 temp and was coughing...the works. Granted, my water had broken and they had to get him out of me but I didn't have any complications. They just pumped me full of IV antibiotics. Good Luck!

Just a word of warning, if you have to cough due to the cold, it hurts like hell! You have to hold a pillow against your stomach and it really, really hurts. I was getting over a cold when I had my c-section. Good luck!

I agree with clindholm. There's nothing worse than a sneeze after a c-section! Just make sure to put pressure on your incision when you cough or sneeze, or it will hurt like hell.

Yes, the coughing was the worst part after having my c-section. It hurt sooooo bad and felt like the incision was coming apart. I'm still in the habit of holding my stomach when I cough or sneeze and it has been over 2 years. Definitely talk to you doc.
