ok, here is my birth story. Saturday I got up to fix breakfast and my other 2 kids were going beserck so i was a bad mommy and yelled to be quiet and when i did, i thought i peed myself even tho i had just went to the bathroom. So i went and checked and it was clear but nothing else was coming out so i went on in the kitchen and cooked breakfast. after i fixed the kids their food i felt wet again and went to the bathroom and more came out so i knew my water had broke. We went to the hospital and i was still only 1 cm and she was very high. Well the nurse forgot to do an amnio stick to make sure my water broke, even tho i've done this 2 other times and KNOW my water broke, so she had to do some other test that took 30 min just to come and tell me that yes it had broke. Well they put me on pitocin, and at 3 cm i got my epi cuz i usually go pretty fast. well it worked for a little while, not long at all. my legs never even went numb. I told the nurse i could still feel all my contractions and they hurt so she told the dr. and they gave me an epi boost in my iv and i got sick feeling, and my husband said i turned white as a sheet. my bp fell to like 80/50 and the nurse put an oxygen mask on me and had to give me medicine every 5 minutes for almost an hour to get it back up. it was awful, all this time, i could still feel everything. i told her it felt like i really had to pee and i had a catheter in. so she checked me and i had made it to 9 cm already and baby was +2. so she called the doc. and i really had to push. I was laying on my side and they wouldn't let me roll over for fear i would start pushing her out. so every contraction was awful, i had my legs together and clamped so tight cuz it felt like she was just gonna pop out! finally the doc got there and they let me start pushing. at first i thought it wasn't gonna be so bad without the epi, but oh lord, here came the head and it HURT. After the head finally came out i thought i was done, lol, cuz it took a few minutes to get it out but i was still in a lot of pain and doc said push some more to get the rest out. so I pushed and pushed and i couldn't get her out anymore and i got scared she was stuck on my pelvic bones. I kept thinking to myself i couldnt' do it anymore and i was screaming from the pain, which i couldn't help. finally since i thought she was stuck, i pulled my legs back as far as i could and pushed as hard as i could and she came out. the doc said i delivered a toddler!!!! She was 9 lbs and 9 ozs!!!! and 20 inches long with a headful of dark brown hair. She was gorgeous. I did cry afterwards but it was because i really missed my little brother who passed away last month after a car accident and it was a happy and sad moment all at the same time. The next day my bp stayed up all day, and we don't know why, so when my doc came on monday i asked her and she said she only saw one high reading. but they would come back and make me lay on my side and retake it and it would be fine. so they woudl replace my old number. i told her that and i guess she thought i was argueing with her, so she got mad and i had bp checked for 4 hours straight, some high some normal. but if i was sitting up in bed they would be high, like 145/102 which is not normal for me at all. but they fluctuated. I still don't understand why its high. the baby had a heart murmer and they did an echo on her, but i haven't heard anything from that yet. hopefully its nothing and will clear up on its own. she slept all the way through the night last night, i woke her up at 4 am to eat and she went back to bed til about 8 am. and she is just too cute!
