Well folks I have reached the light at the end of the tunnel! Cooper James was born at 8:27 on friday March14. It was a scheduled C section that went very smoothly. The spinal was the worst part because it caused severe nausea that was excrutiating. As some of you know we were surprised by the s_x of our baby, and it was so fun to hear my husband say "its a little boy!" We already have a 2 yo daughter, so now we have one of each! Cooper was lodged so firmly into my pelvis that the ob had some trouble getting him out! They ended up having to use suction on his head (from which he still bears the swollen circle on his head) and his face was very swollen and beat up. He changed into a different baby in a matter of hours as the swelling went down! He was 8lbs and 20inches, and my dr said that if I had tried to do a Vback, I never would have gotten him out! Other than a nagging case of jaunce (got sent home on a billi-bed), he is perfect, and we love him and our daughter more than life itself. Hang in there ladies...It is TOTALLY worth it!
