I am being induced this Monday with Cervidil and I was just wondering for those of you that have had your baby already... Did you take on a Dr Jekyll and Mr hyde att_tude during the delivery? haha I am wondering if I will do that and if most women do go through a temporary loss of sanity.... Like they show you on TV!!!

I don't usually change my att_tude or personality unless I am in lots of pain, but when your in pain, that is when you will change some of your att_tude. Reason is because sometimes nothing can make you feel better and it makes you really mad. I just get emotional or a little frusterated trying to deal with every contraction that is very intense. The nurses and doctors usually tell you to breath through your contractions to ease the pain but for me it doesn't help to pant just to take a deep breath through my nose and b__w out through my mouth. I though getting my back rubbed would make me feel good, LOL nope that made me upset because it didn't relieve a darn thing. I didn't ever cus or yell at anyone I mainly wimpered and squeezed the pillow. Hope that helps.

Jenn hey! I hope your doing well! Monday will be here before you know it and your little girl will be in your arms so soon! I sent you a message on myspace a while ago and wondered why you never responded, well, duh it didn't go through. Why are/were you put on pelvic rest? I put myself on pelvic rest and am literially counting down the days until I can jump my hubbie's bones lol. I'm going crazy. Well I hope you go into labor on your own this weekend and I'm looking forward to a great birth story in a few days.

jenn- they started me with cervidil...and it is a little uncomfy when they insert it... but that's temperary...however the cervidil did start my contractions... and they got worse from there.... that was the worst part the contraction starting in so fierce... but I just practiced breathing techniques and used the whirpool bath...(and of course some meds) I didn't go insane at all infact everyone there was amazed that I didn't once get upset...but that's just me...I'm laid back anyway... so I didn't get moody with my pregnancy and I didn't change with my labor...I think people go crazy when the pain reaches their peek and they feel it won't ever end...I never reached that so I guess that's why I didn't get mean. HOW EXCITING UR LITTLE GIRL IS ON HER WAY I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE PICTURES! good luck I want to read ur birth story...and enjoy every minute tell shon to take tons of pictures its the best experience of ur life in my opinion! hugs and luv!

I cant say much that will ease your mind, I know how you feel, so......Remember that 90% of ALL pain is placebic (sp), so all the pain you think you feel keep reminding yourself that it is all in your mind. SERIOUSLY, breathing does help if you know how to use it to your advantage. it stops you from hyperventalating, which cause the placebo pain to feel worse.......I am so excited for you!!! I cant wait to hear you birth story!!! Im checking this third trimester everyday! Just seriously remember to stay focused on what is going on around you and not the pain itself, and it wont be as bad as you would think.....Love you and miss you long time! .... ******SO EXCITED!!*****

Thanks guys! I was kinda wondering how many women temporarlily lose their sanity. haha Seems like most dont and just get real cranky. Mahagen, That is how I am too. If I have a tooth ache or something (which I know this isnt a toothache haha) I too get really frustrated. Especially if someone keeps asking me over and over "Are you Ok?" For some reason that bugs the hell out of me. haha SHOPPING! I never got it. Although I have been bad lately about replying to comments. I need to get on the ball. haha I was told no s_x by my doc because I was tested positive for GBS and since I lost my mucos plug he doesnt want to increase the risk even if it is a slight one of pushing bacteria up in there. He is a little old fashioned in that sense. haha TISH~ during htis pregnancy I will admit I have had my days but all in all I have been ok. Shon said that the first trimester was the moodiest I have gotten. By the time the pain gets that bad for me Ill prolly already have an epid. haha I am trying to ddo it au natural but im a puss. haha DB!! Nice to hear from you too! Ill definatly post right away when i get back. AND I will try to remember that as well. Its all in my head. haha Ok thanks guys! Really appriciate it.

jennifer, good luck ith your induction! i was induced in january with cervadil and i'm going to warn you, it hurts like hell when they put it in! i screamed and practically climbed up the bed to get away from my doctor lol! to me, that was one of the worst parts and i did it all natural. also, i never flipped out and went psycho on my hubby. i actually was very submissive and did whatever the nurses or my hubby said i should do lol. i did snap at my husband only once though only because he was chewing in my ear. breathing didn't help me, instead i groaned deeply to help relax and get me thru those horrid contractions. best of luck to you! It's an amazing feeling when you hold your baby for the first time!

OMG!! Really!? It hurts!? What is it they use!? haha my doctor said a pill but I have been readin it is a tampon looking thing...

I didn't really do that since I had pain medicine - I am not a ranter/raver kind of person....I did however cry with every contraction until I got my epidural with my first as I was induced and they got very painful but after my eidural I fell asleep and the nurse woke me up about 6 hours later and told me Honey I think it's time for you to push! I didn't have cervadil just pitocin

jmejo2 - February 22

Yes Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde definately emerged in the delivery room...I kept saying that the epidural man was my friend and then said if he didn't get his a$$ up there and take away my pain I was gonna hate him...lol
