Hello everyone! I'm currently 30 weeks pg. with baby #2 & am wondering about an episiotomy. I had one with my ds, so I'm wondering if that means I'll have to have another one, or if the chances to tear are greater, or if it makes no difference? Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

I had two 2nd degree tears with my first. My OB told me that the chances of tearing at all, or as bad were greatly decreased most of the time due to the stretching that occurs during the first delivery. I am holding on to that because it took me 6 weeks to recover last time.
