okay so this might sound silly...but its really confusing...IM 32 weeks prego and in books it says im 8 months and if you add the weeks into months it adds up to 8 months...okay so MY QUESTION IS: how long are you REALLY prego for...becuase if im 32 weeks i still have 8 more weeks until my due date..8 weeks is 2mnths so am i 7mnths or am i prego until the end of my 9th mnth?? im confused...LoL

It's so confusing Gina but pregnancy is considered 10 mo (4 weeks per mo) that is how you are seeing the 8 mo come up so quick, but since there are some 5 weeks months you really are only pg for 9 mo of a calendar so I would say at 32 weeks you are 7 mo and 1 week :) Good luck! I am 30.5 weeks!!! :)

To make it easier go by calendar dates to work out how many months you are, using your lmp as the starting date. This is my 3rd pregnancy & even though doctors & midwives use weeks, they have never cla__sed 4wks as a month, instead have used calendar dates. For example my lmp was April 3 & my due date is January 8 (just over 9mths) so even though I am 19wks I am almost 4.5mths not 5. For all those who argue that 4wks is a month I always ask 'how many months are in your year & how often do you have a birthday?'. Anyway as ejmeskan said you are just over 7mths.
