Hi Ladies - a pretty trivial question today - last night i had wierd little movmements down near the bottom of my belly - consistant little movements for about 3 or 4 minutes - could the bub have been having hicups? I have never felt this movement before so was just wondering? It was kinda strange but they just made me think of hiccups :) ha ha.

I am 32 weeks and when my little guy has the hiccups it feels like little twitches and they are equally timed. I also really feel them way down low. I think that is because with each hiccup their head moves a bit.

It was definitely hiccups :) The further along you get, the more you are going to feel them, and eventually actually see your belly move every time the baby hiccups. As the baby gets bigger you might start feeling them higher, because their whole body moves when they hiccup and there isn't as much amniotic fluid to soften them anymore. Then the second pregnancy you'll feel them much much earlier and stronger.

Thanks ladies - I thought they were but I havent felt them before and I am 29 weeks and 4 days :) I kept picturing him / her hiccuping everytime the twitch happened and was laughing - poor bub hee hee. I hate it when I have the hiccups. :) It really is amazing. When bub moves - like rolls around - now i see my whole belly move - it really looks quite freaky!! Hope you are both doing well!! :)

aww, isnt is neat seeing and feeling our LOs moving around :) I LOVE when my little girl gets hiccups lol its so funny. I agree with you about getting hiccups ourselves though, they are very annoying but they dont bother babys in the womb at all according to experts) and they are very good for their lung development so enjoy them :)
