Ok I am 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby and have pupps (if you don't know what that is you lucky) it's an itchy irratating rash that doesn't go away until you have the baby. My doctor said that if I would like she can induce me whenever I would like but I kinda feel like I should stick it out to make sure my baby is healthy. My Dr. said she is going to do an Ultrasound to check the babies weight and give me steroid shots to help get the baby ready and induce me in about a week unless I tell her otherwise. What should I do does anyone have any advice.

Go with your gut. Honestly- what do you feel? You are going to get so many strong opinions on this question and I think you need to just go with what you feel. I am sure you want that babe out so bad but yet also want to make sure it is "cooked" enough! ha! Your doc will only do it if he/she feels it is a smart decision so trust that! I personally will go as long as the doc allows me to so I don't have to be induced BUT I say that with only going through this once before and having had a perfect pregnancy....I have no clue what I would say if I were in a different situation!!

Man that's a tough one .......if you feel like you can hold out then absolutely - if PUPPS is driving you nuts then it's really up to you - if it were me I might try to last until as least 38 weeks - by then lungs are good and everything should be ok and safe - it's really up to you Good Luck

I think you would be fine if you do it in a week - 37 weeks is considered term - but of course, the longer you can wait the better for baby. Pupps sucks - had a friend with it, she was miserable! I feel for you!

I would tough it out at least until 37 weeks. Believe me I know what it's like to be miserable. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was having excruciating gallbladder attacks since I was 10 weeks along and when I hit 34 weeks I was having them every day, several times a day. I made it to 37 weeks exactly before they insisted on inducing and I'm happy I waited that long. It was a very miserable wait but she was born at 7 lbs 5 oz. and no trouble breathing.

honestly i wouldnt. I dont have pupps so I have no idea what it feels like or how bad it is. Does it cover your whole body? Ive never even heard of it. But anyway, if I were you I would try and wait as long as you possibly can, if youve been able to last this long with it do you think you could go another 2 weeks? Either way its your decision. I guess the only thing i think about is what if you have the baby and it was much too early? Youd be blaming yourself for a long time ( im not bashing or getting down on you, im just telling you how i would be thinking). and just remember that for checking with the ultrasound weight that can be off by a pound or two. either way, good luck and make the decision thats right for you.

Sorry about the PUPPS, Duckbil. I had that too. No fun!! I got mine about 38 weeks, and really didn't want to be induced. But my little Levi didn't want to come out, so they induced me at 41 weeks. I don't know if I was in your place at 36 weeks what I would do. I would probably try to wait a couple weeks just for the babies sake. Have you found anything that helped with the PUPPS? Anyhow, best of luck to you! Again, I'm so sorry you have to deal with PUPPS. It really sucks! ~Rachel
