I forgot to add this - sorry
Anyone else seriously tired at the end? I'm still working 9-5:30 Mon-Fri & walking every day. But I feel like I got hit by a truck since Friday, just want to sleep/lay in bed. Is this normal?

Samara- My son is one week 5 days...but when I was at the end of my pregnancy I was so tired. I wasn't working so I can only imagine how tired you must be. I would go to bed at night at about 11pm or earlier, and sleep until that time the next day and sometimes later. I got up with my husband in the morning, but went back to bed because I was still SO tired. It is totally normal. Think of all the extras you are carrying around! That would make anyone tired!!!
Not that it necessarily works...but have you tried s_x to move things along? There is actually a hormone in s____n that causes the cervix the soften and then dilate. We tried it and...NOTHING! But I figure anything is worth a try. For it to actually work I do believe you have to do it a lot, you know, not just once and expect something. But hang in there...it sucks being this pregnant, but your time will come soon.

Hi Girls...I am exhausted too....38W6D today and cranky, feel like this baby is never going to come out! Not getting much rest as I am chasing a 2yr old all day....not remotely interested in s_x, not even to try to "speed things along"...we tried that before with the other 2 and it didn't help anyway. I go in tomorrow, last week I was 2cm/75% but I don't really feel like anything has changed since then. UGH.

Hi Ladies,
Well, just an update……Everything has been going great with my weekly NST’s, and my 24hr urine looked fine. So, everything has stayed on schedule……..and I’m HAVING MY BABY TOMORROW. Scheduled C Section. I’m completely exhausted but more from staying up at night obsessing about everything. I have such more anxiety this time because we have a little boy at home. My husband keeps telling me it will be alright, but I can’t help worry. I wish all of you all the best! I’m so EXCITED…..I want to open the door and scream..TOMORROW I’m HAVING A BABY! LOL…………
The idea that this could be a completely different experience than my first………Being he was in the NICU for his first forty days is more than I can handle. I have know idea what it’s going to be like to hold my baby right at birth…….I had to wait the first time a whole week……..Ohh I could go on forever. I will be so extremely grateful if this birth goes as smoothly as the entire pregnancy has. Wish me luck!
Love,
Sarah

I had my baby yesterday.......October 21, 2009. All hell broke loose on my last doctors appointment on the night before. TUESDAY. The baby wasn't moving much so the doctor sent me in for ultrasound and NST at the hospital. There they decided to keep us for the night. I had my baby YESTERDAY Wednesday at 9;10 am, and so HAPPY to say I'm already back at home recovering from my csection. Baby and I looked great 7 Pounds 11 oz, and I was up and moving so well I begged my OB to let us out. TO our shock she said yes. I feel sorry to all the people who sent flowers today for us.....We never saw them we were out by noon! THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME..Thanks for all your prayers, our daughter looks great. Ohhh........we named her Miss Bailey Elizabeth. Good luck to all the rest of your little pumpkins...
Love,
Sarah
A very HAPPY MOMMY

ZARIYAH NOELLE WAS BORN ON OCTOBER 19, 2009 at 12:20PM
Hey ladies how are you all doing? I hope that all is well with you, I see that some have had their little ones and some are still waiting.
Well ladies my little girl was born on Monday October 19th at 12:20 pm. It was a scheduled c section so there was no long labor or anything to report. So we all got up monday morning, took my son to school. It was still early so we (hubby, mom, & I) came back to the house for an hour. Then we left on our way to the hospital. We got there they did our paperwork, and got me on a monitor, did my iv. I went back to the OR around 11:45. The spinal/epidural was kinda painful. But ok, she was here at 12:20 nice and healthy weighing in at 7lbs exact. She was 19 & 3/4 inches long. All is going well with us. I started out b___stfeeding, but that did not work well bc she will not latch on. So now it is formula. I will be getting my pump in 2 days so i will be able to pump for her. She does have a touch of jaundice and I had to take her today and a follow up tomorrow to get blood drawn to check her levels. I wish i could post pics for you ladies but I cant. Oh well our first night home last night was a long one so let me get some sleep while she is sleeping. Good luck ladies :-)

Congrats ladies! So exciting!!
I'm 39w4 days, as of 39 weeks my cervix was thinning slightly but not dilating at all. I've been having on & off contractions since Thursday. My next doctors appointment is 10.29, my due date. I know this sounds cruel, but I'm really really ready to get her out! I'm getting tired of being uncomfortable, and working. Oh well...ooo there's a contraction

Hi girls!
I welcomed a baby BOY on Thursday, October 22nd! (I was 39 weeks 1 day)
His name is Graham Robert and he weighed 7 lbs 12 oz.
Here is the story:
Ok so last week wed I was 39 weeks and saw the Dr at 4:00...I was 4 cm dialated and 75%+ effaced. We decided I would come in in the morning and he would break my water and get things started. Well after his exam I started contracting, this went on all night, until 5 am....they varied from 12 to 5 minutes apart and were uncomfortable but not unbearable...bad part was, I didnt get any sleep that night!
We arrived at the hospt_tal at 6:30 and at 7:30 the Dr broke my water, I was already 5 cm at this point from all the contracting the night before! At 8:30 contractions started on their own...I tolerated them for a good 2 hours, and then I couldn't take it anymore...I was 7 cm and asked for some pain relief! We opted for an intrathecal because it would last 2 hrs and I was already 7 cm, so the theory being especially since this was baby #3 I would for sure deliver in less than 2 hours at that point.
Well, well, well, wouldnt you know, my worst nightmare and fear (going without pain relief at the end and thru delivery) was about to come true (again). An hour after I had the intrathecal I asked to be checked..I was only an 8. I started to panic because the contrations weren't now strong enough or frequent enough to get me dialted quickly. I begged for pitocin and they agreed. Problem was, nobody had a sense of urgency about it but ME. Pitocin takes a good 20 minutes to take effect and they start at the smallest dose and won;t increase the dose for 30 minutes, even though I begged them to hurry and give me more...I knew we were running out of time.
Sure enough, when I hit 9 cm the meds wore off. I was in so much pain I was crying hysterically and started to hyperventillate, I could not breathe. I thought I was going to die in childbirth! I was too scared to push, the pain was too much to bear. I pushed finally, it was my only real option to get the whole thing over with....thankfully, all my babies came out with only like 5-10 minutes/about 3-4 contractions, and that was the case this time as well. I have a very large-headed hubby and hence very large headed babies, so this required epesiotomy #3 for me! yuck. All in all I was without pain relief for about a good 30 minutes, and the dr never would tell me how many st_tches he put in. ugh.
Anyway, baby was born perfectly healthy and happy, didnt hardly make a peep! Still never really cries. We were sooooooo shocked to have another boy! We shouldnt have been but we were....we so sure we were having a girl!
We are all very very happy and smitten with the new guy!
Hope you are all well, cant wait to read the remaining birth stories!!!

Congrats... Well looks like I'm gonna be a Movember mommy. As of yesterday I'm not dilated, baby isn't engaged, and I'm scheduled for an appointment on Monday to check again. If she doesn't show up by Tuesday I have to be at the hospital at 5 am to start induction... Fun fun
