Recently I have been having some sharp pains for a few seconds in the cervix area and not sure if this is normal. I have an OB appointment very soon and do plan to ask my doctor about it, was just wondering if anyone else has experenced this.

Ive been having sharp pains like around my pubic bone for a while now. Esp. when i turn over at night in bed. im not sure if this is the same thing you are experiencing. Im 35 weeks and this has been going on since...i dunno maybe week 31 or so...?? all of those pains my doc said are a__sociated with my body preparing for labor.

It sounds alot like what I have. I am 38 weeks and 4 days. I feel like a sharp stabbing sensation that lasts a second or two. I asked my OB about it and he said it is the baby pressing down and my cervix effacing. How far are you?

Hi, had pretty much the same on and off for a few weeks, Im now 39 wks .. only lasts a few seconds though. I think its normal
