Taking Too Many Vitamins

My gynecologist prescribed me Prenate DHA when I first found out I was pregnant. She gave me a box and said take two a day. It's my last week of pregnancy and when I went to the pharmacy I asked for one week's worth and the girl said then you need 7. I said no, 14, and she explained that I am only supposed to take 1 a day. The entire pregnancy I was taking two and didn't realize I was only supposed to take 1. My obgyn also prescribed me an iron supplement because my blood work said my iron was low. How could it have been low if I was doubling up on a prenantal vitamin when I wasn't spoosed to? Now I am worried I hurt the baby somehow. Any advice?

You might want to make sure those pills have iron in them. I was told I could take 2 Flintstones vitamins a day and when they did my glucose test my iron came back a tiny bit lower than what it should be. I was a bit confused because I'd been taking them everyday and eat enough meat and when I checked the back when I got home sure enough.....no iron in them at all! I'd ask you ob about it. She may have wanted you to take 2 a day for whatever reason and the pharmacy tech could be wrong.
