BRANDY- I'm sure you've already gotten help on the negorgment inssue, but in case you haven't...when thathappened to me it was suggested to try 1)a warm cpmpress or shower for a few minutes to stimulate flow before baby tries to latch on and 2) put a cold (been in the fridge) cabbage leaf in your bra to wear in between feedings (I know it sounds silly, but believe me it really works - some sort of natural chemical response to what is in the cabbage - and it was recommended by dd's pediatrician, not some old wives tale). Trust me both these work, and will make you A LOT more comfy. I can't wait to join you in the "bf'ing club". I LOVED nursing my dd. It creates such an intense bond. :)

Hello girlies.. it seems I never get the time to come on this forum until its late!! I miss all the chit chat during the day. CHRIS: LOL.. you made me laugh with your texas hold em poker..I have to admit that Im addicted to this game called. Dream Day New Home or something like that.. Ive played it soo much in the last week.. it makes the time go by quickly, and my 5 year old likes to play it with me! I know how you feel with the soreness. Whenever I get up to pee in the night.. I have to be really slow.. and I have to hold onto the walls until i get to the washroom.. its just so painful. Just think your due date is fast fast fast approaching. Will they let you go overdue? Melissa: Even though the babies head is "engaged" its not quite far enough down into the birth ca___l to cause a major "conehead" hhehehe.. so try not to worry. As for the old man with the comments.. Ive had the same ones.. and my first two were only 4.5 years apart. It took a lot for me to get pregnant with my second baby.. it wasnt even close to easy. So then after her.. we a__sumed it would take another 3.5 years to get pregnant again.. definatly not the case.. so now instead of people saying.. "holy youre having them awfully far apart" I get "wow.. nothing like popping them out" There is this one lady on my dh's bowling league.. she makes it a point everytime that she sees me to say .. NICE AND LOUD... "YOu need to get a new hobby.. no more babies" I feel like telling her to go play in traffic! Its annoying! Just think.. ONE MORE day.. and then youll be holding your baby. CANT WAIT. Hope all of the February babies.. that were supposed to be March babies are doing well. Where is Sarah??? ~Kristin~

KRISTEN- If I had to listen to the same offensive person make the same type comment (not just some random stranger you pa__s in the store) I think I would be a bit more confrontational. Yo have a lot of restraint! We were at friends' for dinner last night and of course the conversation was about my induction tomorrow. My dh was questioning whether or not we should go ahead w/ it, or just let Reece come on his own. The friend (a very insensitive guy always) says, "Nothing has been natural about this pg so far. (Rememebr this is an IVF baby) Why bother having a natural delivery?" I wanted to tell him to f*** off, but our kids were all around playing! WTH gives people the right to pa__s judgement over otherss' lives and circ_mstances? There are 2 things that I have been preaching to my dd since she could sit long enough to listen to me rant: 1)You NEVER know how you look thru other people's eyes, so always try to make yourself proud of you, and 2) Just b/c it crosses your mind doesn't mean it should cross your lips. If only the rest of the world got those messages. Sorry for my diatribe. I'm in a bit of a mood. I guess. lol

WE NEED SOME PICTURES! WE NEED SOME PICTURES!!! SARAH!!!! Where the heck are you!? has your lo joined the household??? I can't wait to see pics of all the new babies arriving and also pics of the babies already here (updated pics) are just as welcome!!!!! Can't get enough of babies!!! How was everyone's weeekend??? Mine was pretty well routine!!! NOT that that is a bad thing but got the finishing touches of the babies room done... YAH!!! She gets the hiccups alot! It is funny!!! poor little baby girl! I had some really strong BH this weekend where like they actually made me uncomfortable and i had them for like 6-7 hours straight.. not like straight consistantly but they were anywhere from 2-6 minutes apart so they were somewhat regular... in terms of frequency... And then yesterday it was more of a sporadic thing... i was like come on bring on the real thing!!! I want her here so bad. I am 38 weeks this week... and although my due date isn't until 3/21 she can still come at any time. My midwife says she won't allow me to go more than a week overdue... so that is great!!! I hope to go early but nonetheless i can kind of guage when she'd be here! Type of thing!!! And i've been having lots of mucus plug just nothing with any tinge of color or any blood streaks... But i am back to having alot of heart palpitations again.. which does suck so the sooner she is here the better i will feel!!!! IN that aspect...

I am so sorry I took so long getting these pictures out! I feel horrible about it. My weekend was absolutely nuts but no baby here yet. I got some pics from Brandy but I wasn't able to open it so I e-mailed her back to get them in a different format. Alright I am going to go check on what's been happening while I've been away and will catch up in a sec...

Alright now my two cents on the happenings: Melissa, my brother is 7 years older than me and we got along so great. He was a big help to my mom and there were never any sibling rivalry issues and stuff like that. He was allowed to be a baby and a kid all by himself and then have a sister join him which was great for him. I think the spacing will work just fine for you. And you were partly right about what I've been up to. We were laying tile down this weekend and ran into issues like not having enough tile, then the store didn't carry the same tile anymore so we had to change our design to include another color, then we needed a new tool to cut the tile, etc. etc. It took all day to get the cement backerboard down and 6 tiles cut and dry fit. Sigh. We also go the baby's room mudded with the first coat and one and a half walls sanded, which is quite a feat. Sanding takes a lot of energy. I am gonna be so buff when Claire gets here. Then yesterday we went to a birthday party for my pastor and his little girl (which we didn't know was happening until yesterday) and I started getting some back pain and contractions about every minute but then after about 2 hours they totally stopped. Everyone was watching me and asking if I thought I needed to call the midwife. But I feel fine now and slept great last night. So glad I am not the only one with issues wiping! I thought maybe I was nuts. Oh and unsolicited advice! Isn't it great? It actually bothers DH more than me. He's like "Why does pregnancy automatically make people think they have the license to tell you how it's going to be?" I almost lost it. I had a really grumpy day Friday. I was at my mom's house and was just exhausted. I went with her to her manicurist while she was getting her nails done and my mom looked at me and said, "Yeah you look miserable enough that this baby can come soon." And her manicurist agreed that women are absolutely miserable for the last month. So I was joking that maybe since I had been miserable for a week that she might come a week early. The manicurist was like "Oh no. First babies are ALWAYS late." I just went off. I was nearly yelling "I KNOW! I KNOW!! FIRST BABIES ARE TYPICALLY AN AVERAGE OF 8 DAYS LATE! I AM AWARE OF THIS! THE NEXT PERSON WHO TELLS ME I AM GOING TO GO INTO LABOR LATE IS GETTING SMACKED!" My mom just looked at me like "What in the world is wrong with you. Geez. I just get so tired of hearing that. Anyway as far as conehead babies go, as long as your water hasn't broken it can't happen too much because that water is a good cushion around the head. Well I have to get going because my mom is coming out to help me lay down tile today and I better look like I've made some progress...

mahagen - March 3

Yeah, Chris I hope its your time! Sarah I totally feel you and how it gets so frusterating to have people tell you your going to be prego forever longer then we want. I wish that doctors would let the mommies choose when they want to go between 38-40 weeks or if they want to go longer they can let them. It is so frusterating and seems like such a long exhausting, painful wait for the last couple months. I keep getting people calling me telling me to go walk walk walk which I want to but there are a few factors that worries me to do that. I for one am constantly having contractions so I don't want to take my dd walking and all of a sudden crumble down with a strong contraction, I also have been carrying very low since I've been prego and now baby is dropped so between how low my belly hangs and the pain I usually only last about 10 minutes walking before the pain really gets intense. I just get upset that everyone seems to have the answers to what is going to make me go in labor but in reality my lo is the key to calling the shots so I could put myself through lots of pain and misery to try to get him here but he still could be like "I'm going to wait a bit longer" UGH. If I knew walking and putting myself through the pain would for sure work then I would be all over it and kicking things in gear. We are all so miserable at this point because we are all due anytime so I feel so bad for us all. Its so nice to have other ladies to talk to about the same things I am feeling and just going through in general.

Speaking of pain; has anyone been having groin and inner thigh pains? When I walk or even am sitting down to use the restroom I get these sharp shooting pains that start at the panty line of my groin and shoot down my inner thighs about half way to my knees. It usually alternates sides; rarely both sides at the same time. But it is quite painful and stops me in my tracks grabbing my groin and ma__saging to get relief. Yet another thing I didn't experince with dd's pg. I tell you what if I was carrying multiples (can you imagine 3, 4, 5, 6 babies in there? HOLY CRAP!) or was over my due date, I would be one seriously b___hy broad. LOL CHRIS- I would bet your bleeding is a sure sign of progress. As your cervix dilating and thinning blood vessles break and cause bleeding. Oooo, it's getting closer. :) I for one am now counting the hours. Dh and I have to be at the hospital at 5am tomorrow. That's 18 hours away. Woohoo! By this time tomorrow I could be holding Reece FINALLY.

mahagen - March 3

Cayingo, Yeah I didn't realize you are going in tomorrow to have baby!!! How exciting. That pain is normal because of all the pressure of baby it is putting strain on your legs. I am getting that alot the past couple days. I think it's also a sign things are progressing more so think positive and ma__sage away because its almost over for you! GL tomorrow and we will be thinking of you.

Thank you MEAGHAN. I have to admit I have mixed feelings about being induced. I am more than ready to meet our lo, but worry about the unnaturalness of this kind of labor. My labor w/ dd was soooo managable even though it took a long time that I can honestly say I enjoyed the process. I am worried I won't have the same tolerance for the pain w/ Pitocin. I just wisj he would come on his own w/i the next 18 hours, but I'm sure that's a pipe dream. Thanks for the well wishes.

mahagen - March 3

Cayingo, I wouldn't put it past that you might show up in labor already. I had scheduled inducements and was in labor all 3 of my children already but they went ahead and induced me anyways. You might be surprised.

cayingo - March 3

Wouldn't that be just like a boy? Little stinker ha ha ha Make you beg and plead and then do it anyway on his own timetable. Well even so I would welcome it. I told my dh that last night. Just watch I'll go into labor on my own right before I'm to be induced. That scenario happened to all 3 of your scheduled inductions? What are the chances of that? Crazy!!

BAF - March 3

Hey Gals, as promised, here's Ford's birth story. Chris, I think you may be next as I had the bloody show just before it all started for me! Here's the story of how it happened. On Sunday, a week ago, I started noticing I was leaking a lot of liquid on & off that day but it was clear. Later that day, I pa__sed a huge mucus plug that was slighly tinged w/blood. On Monday, the leaking continued but steadily increased. By 5pm, I was getting a bit concerned so I decided to call my dr. She said to monitor it & if I soaked a pad w/in 1hr to go to the hospital. It slowed down & I went to bed. At 5am on Tuesday morning, I woke up with an incredible back ache. When I stood up to go to the bathroom, I felt something trickle down my leg. This time, it was also bloody. By 7am I started timing my contractions. They were mild but definitely noticable, about 10-15 min apart. At 8am, I called my dr and she said come in immediately for her to check me. So by 9am I was there and she said my forebag of water had broken and as she was examining me to see how much I had dialated (3cm), she broke my regular bag of water. She looked at me, I said oh my and she said go to the hospital, I'll call them to let them know you're on your way. By 10:30am I was in the bed & on Pitocin. By 12:30 I was at 4cm & got my epidural. I was very comfortable & basically laid there all day not making much progress. They kept uping the Pitocin and I never made it past 5/6cm. So finally at midnight, the on call dr examined me, said the baby was face up and didn't look like he would come on his own. So we took the dr's advice & he did a c section. Ford was born at 1:07am, weighing 7lb 1oz, 19 in long. He is so cute & I can't believe how much I love him!!!
