Hi all! Robyn - congrats :) sounds like everythings going well now for you with your baby boy!! Sarah - I have to agree with Kristin. Our midwife was very clear to us that whether contractions last 30sec or 45 or 1 minute, if they are only 5 minutes apart we should get our a__s to hospital as it means we are very close. She also commented that some women never made it to full 1 minute contractions, so its only a rule of thumb. Ive been having heaps of really bad period like cramps about an hour each day..last night at 3am! was so bad it made me nauseas and i had tears in my eyes...but they didnt come in waves so figured it was just prelabour pains rather than any type of contraction etc. I still am not sure what they feel like!! haha. Guess when i get one that comes and goes routinely ill figure it out! still no sign of any plug or waters breaking , yet this bubs been engaged for 2 weeks now! Now im past the 38wk mark i just want him to come meet me and his daddy!!!!! My reflexologist showed us some "g-spots" for stimulating the uterus area, and dh has been ma__saging that plus back and tum in lavendar oil! Plus ive been walking and eating spicy foods! Nada yet. Better try the s_x tonight! lol. Tho its VERY uncomfortable these days with bub digging at my cervix.

i gotta say its amazing how many of you guys are able to be induced early. It is certainly not the norm over here and not even something ive been offered unless probs or at 42 wks.... Especially given that most ppl could be out by a week or two of their real due date given the EDD is only an estimate from last period unless u knew for a fact (like i did from temp charting, and Robyn from IVF, etc). You guys are lucky. Also means you can pick the day your loved ones born on ...a favourite lucky number perhaps? hehe. Our fave lucky number is 23 , so yesterday i had my fingers crossed, but nothing happened. Oh well! Guess its not a lucky number after all. hehe

Hi everyone, Just stopped in to say hi and read how everyone is doing. I was curious how everyone is seeing pictures of eachothers kids. Does everyone know eachother personally on this thread or is there a certain website that I should know about that connected to this site? Sorry just curious because I would love to see pictures too. I've heard so much about how cute everyones babies are and I thought wow I could do that when my lo comes so you all can see too. Let me know. Thanks!

Brandy - Yes, I felt it. It was a strange pain and it happened fast, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Some ladies don't feel anything at all. I think it just depends on you. CHRIS - the only reason my doc induced me was because the babies were big and he didn't want to risk any harm to myself or the twins. I guess the further a twin pregnancy goes, the higher the risk for something going wrong. WHOO HOO...........you ladies are getting close!!! HAHAHA..........I bet everyone goes into labor at once or just days apart!!!

Question - February 24

No babies lately? I'm still standing preggo and our shower went awesome! Celebrated 3 , and now we are off to the races! Got mostly diapers, bathing materials, cloths and medicine. I was very happy to spend this shower along with my sister in laws, we are all so very close. OMG,I feel super uncomfortable down there! I here you guys on the sore cervix, intercourse seems brutal, but i think I will give in tonight just to see if my ob is right about her theory of s____n dilation. I haven't give in since i was told I'm 3cm, I guess I'm nervous that if I dilate more it's off to L&D for the last time. Montie, your twins are adorable! And Robyn- Gosh Justin is a cutie! I just can't wait to hold my Hannah Banana! Everyone get their rests, and thier daily walks! Erica

Thanks Monica, you put my mind at ease a little more! I am trying not to get too excited but I think I lost my mucous plug (or part of it) this morning. It was a big clump of gooey glob. Maybe the sign of things to come? I know it may not mean anything, but at least I am making some progress!! Has anyone else had this happen? I'll be 39 weeks on Thursday!!! Robyn, your birth story made me cry, and Justin is so adorable. Congrats again!

Hi guys. Just back from an exhausting day. We had our last cla__s, infant essentials where we learned about how to hold babies, bathe them and got to practice diapering and bundeling. It may sound basic to some of you but as a first time mom without too much experience it was quite rea__suring. Then we were off to look at strollers, I think we finally settled on one, and then finally got around to buying the car seat and basinett and now I feel like I'm going to collapse. Off to rest, I hope you are all well...

mahagen - February 24

Do any of you have a " Cafemom " site?? I have one and would love to get some friends from this thread. Your all wonderful! Let me know. If not you can sign up for free and add me. I'm under Mahagen like here!

Hi guys, up since 4:30, how fun...not I'm suspecting I'm going to have a lot more of these semi-sleepless nights until the end. Kristin I think we are going to go with the baby jogger, city series, cla__sic stroller. We live in the city and need something to tackle the cobblestones and this stroller folds like a dream and is not too crazy heavy fo when I do need to lift it into the car...

BriannasMummy - February 25

Wow.. 4:30.. that must bite to be awake and have nothing to do in the middle of the night. Sounds like you found the perfect stroller for your situation.. wonderful. I love it when I find what Im looking for. Is everyone done working for now.. or are there some of you brave enough to still be there? ~Kristin~

mahagen - February 25

Kristin, I love Cafemom's site too. Its nice to have something for just moms. Thanks for the info to give to Sarah so I can see some beautiful pics too. I will add you as a friends. Does anyone know of a good stroller to get for the beach. My Eddie Bauer stroller won't run along the sand and I really need to get something that will come double or not. I was thinking a joggging stroller but maybe nothing works in the sand.

Astra - February 25

Mahagen, I don't know if the baby jogger does sand. It seems to manage snow pretty well though. What you are looking for is an "all terrain stroller" but before you buy anything look on line for reviews. For example I know the Valco runabout is supposed to be all terrain but I've read reviews that it doesn't manage sand very well... Kristin, I'm not working and havn't been for quite a while (very lucky really), right now I appreciate it most because I get tired after doing ANYTHING. On a very different note I read that it is normal to have anxious dreams about the baby, had my first one last night, anyone else having strange dreams?

Rainbowbrite - February 25

Hello ladies! I have not been having weird dreams but i sure am drooling alot at night... omg it is terrible... its embara__sing luckily sweetheart don't see it!!! lol... but still... it is gross!!! I am still working and plan on working up until the day i go into labor until the doctor tells me to not work. but i do not forsee that happening unless something happens... but as of right now i'm still working full 40 hrs a week... here at my day job and at the part time job 3 nights a week but that is only like an hour to do per night so it is nothing horrible... i'm still feeling pretty crampy... it just started again this morning saturday night i had 7 contractions at 5 minutes apart and then they just stopped... lol i was like darn it! but they were not BAD contractions so i wasn't too set on anything major happening... but still... it was the first real consistent contractions i've had... then yesterday i was fine and today i am just cramping all over my lower front belly/bikini line area... nothing bad but enough to notice it... it is crazy because i get on here waiting to see someone missing... and then not hear from them for a few days and then speculate they must be having their lo!!!! =) It is crazy how any of us can go at any time!!!! That still just b__ws my mind. =) Congrats to all of us!!! =) LOL
