gah, I dont think my baby will ever drop!!! Im 37 weeks 1 day, my baby flipped but she is still wedged up in my ribs. She is my first baby so I dont know when babys usually drop or what it feels like or anything but I can feel her little butt right up in my rib cage. how the heck do I get her to drop lol... is there anything I can do? My ribs are in so much pain and I can hardly breath lol it feels like she is trying to get out the wrong way by crawling UP .

I never dropped with my first baby. I had to be induced 'cuz she was a week over her due date. You can try walking but it never worked for me. Good luck.

aww, that doesnt make me feel any better LOL thanks though. I have a strong feeling shes gonna be pretty late. *sigh* oh well :) maybe she'll come on her daddys birthday. Im due june 14th and my hubbys birthday is the 19th hehe.. that would be amusing.

My baby dropped at 38 weeks. Hang in there. The only thing about MAKING her drop too soon is that she may not be able to turn in time which means a longer labor with more back pain for you until she does. But you can squat, walk, all the things you'd do to try to induce labor to get her to drop.

thanks kathy... she flipped and as far as I know shes facing the right way but she has built a fort in my ribs and it doesnt look like she is coming down any time soon lol oh well... I'll just suffer till she is ready I guess. just 3 more weeks till my due date, then probably a week after that I might just have my body back and my lillte one in my arms... I cant wait.

My baby didnt drop until I went into labor. I really dont think that the baby dropping means anything but that labor is coming in the next few weeks.

patience... I could care less if its a sign of labor lol I just want to be able to breath!! oh well... I have gotten used to the abuse, just three more weeks.... :)

Has anyone told you she hasn't dropped? My girl dropped really early and I didn't feel it or notice it at all. An ultrasound tech told me, and she only did to make conversation haha. I could still feel her kicking up in my ribs, so I asked my doctor and one or two other ultrasound techs the next times I had ultrasounds, they all said yep she's definitely dropped, and I probably couldn't feel it because I have strong muscles or something like that.
