Ok ladies I was just talking to a girlfriend of mine and she said, "oh so you are done and could go any day now!" That is crazy to me bc I really hadn't thought about it that way... HOLY c__p! I am 37weeks today! We got the babys dresser and nightstand last night... real nice! Now I say the room is all done, but that just means the big stuff is bought, and now a million little things that I need.. diaper champ, hamper, etc. I also just found out a good friend of mine is pregnant and due around March... I told her she is so lucky bc she will have a cool pregnancy and get to have my hand me downs! Good timing for her. Anyways, today was a peanut butter and peanuts cravings day for me... then I read about a study that was just done and linked peanuts during pregnancy to asthma in children later in toddler years! Great, but it did say that these women were eating peanuts almost everyday! Wierd though! Weather here today is rain rain and more rain... makes me sleepy! Hell, everything makes me sleepy! Going over my maternity leave with my colleagues later this week... should be interesting. Have a great day!

Boodah, are you using your diaper champ as a general trash can too or just for diapers?

I will just be using the diaper champ for diapers... never thought of using it for anything else??? But I was told the diaper champ was better bc you can use regular trash bags instead of the diaper genie where you have to use their refills for it!

I will post pics on photobucket when I get a chance... anybody post pics yet???? I don't think I would be able to fall asleep at the library as they would kick me out for disrupting bc my snoring is sooooo LOUD nowadays! my hub has been sleeping in the other room bc it actually wakes him up... and he can sleep through bombs going off in the same room! Yeah, most of my friends have already had kids, but I didn't get much hand me downs... toys and such which are good, but had to buy the big items! My girlfriends were just saying to me the other day that they miss me and my rambunctous behavior! Been friends with these girls for 20 years and never missed a party... oh how times have changed! Can't wait for a girls night out though! We haven't done the carseat thing yet, but they said bring it when you go into labor and the nurses will help you install it if we need help! I guess I need to start thinking about packing the hospital bag... I posted something last week about that... any other ideas from you already mommies????

Hello ladies. Well, I have my growth scan in a little while. I'm nervous that this baby is going to small again. Everyone says I dont look like I'm 37 weeks..and there was a lady at the dr's last week who was having contractions and I thought she was full term...no, she was only 33 weeks and was bigger than me! I was like, holy cow, I am small! (Well, my belly is small, the rest of me gained weight just fine!). I guess I'll find out today though. About the diaper gene things, I never bought one. I always put diapers in a garbage can with a lid either in the laundry room, or the garage. I hate the thought of diapers in the room where people are, or the baby is sleeping. blah. I've also packed my hospital bag. I just went to Walmart yesterday and bought travel sized lotion, shampoo, condtioner, body wash, and toothpaste. Nothing feels better than taking a shower after going through labor. Well, that and eating. Well, I'll keep you all posted on how the growth scan goes!

hey ladies! i had kindof a scary day today.. went in for my checkup, im 37 weeks today, and the baby's heartbeat was 120, which is fine but the lowest end of the healthy range. So my doc sent me to the hospital for a non stress test... that was super wierd, strapped into all the beeping machinery lol, but baby seemed fine, squirming around as usual... the nurses said the results looked fine, i guess i'm waiting to hear back if there were any problems, but after the test i was just sent on my way.... o i can't wait for baby to be born and then you can just look and see if they are ok, it's not this big mystery, being inside my belly and unreachable. anyways, feeling fine, just wanted to share...

hi ladies, been gone most of the day at my moms, my other brother had to have surgery on his knee cuz he tore his acl and broke his knee! so i went over there for a while. he's gonna be 20 in sept. patti, my hips hurt like HELL, lol. and these contractions start everyday at about 3 or 4 and last all night! i wish they would freakng do something already! katie, i forgot you're naming your little girl chloe too! lol. and if she is breech now, they might try turning her and if they can't get her to turn then you will probably have a c-section. but sometimes them physically trying to turn them works. are you 37 wks? my lil boy was 7 lbs 11.5 oz when he was born at 36 wks 6 days, so i don't think thats too big, lol. i have big babies anyways. i am so ready for her to come out but at the same time since this is my last pregnancy probably i don't want it to end. wierd i know. ive had s_x 3 times in teh last week and its doing nothing, i am not even having discharge right now! how freaking wierd is that for this far along??? i am so waiting to lose my plug, but i think i never lost it with my others til my water broke, and nothing before that. ugh.

Well....I was right. I had my growth scan done this afternoon, and baby is measuring VERY small. She is in the 8th percentile, at 5 pounds 9 oz. They made it sound like they might induce me right then and there, but after checking everything they said the baby seems otherwise healthy and happy. They said the membrane strip on Thursdaay is a good idea, and hopefully will get labor going, otherwise I'll be induced by 39 weeks. The good news is, at least I know the baby will be small. With my first, they didn't know she was small until she popped out. The other thing is, I've been having contractions on and off all day. My lower back has started hurting too, right at my tail bone. I hope it leads to labor....Cnasmom- I talked to the nurse who does my Non stress test every week, and she said after having s_x, you should lay there and prop a pillow under your bum so that the s____n stays at your cervex. She said its best to stay that way for about an hour. I was like a whole HOUR? She said, it REALLY does help bring on labor. Sounds...fun huh? Anyway, you could try that? I'm going to on Thursday after my membrane strip. I'll keep you posted.

Hello ladies.... I hope everyone is doing well today. I had another night of okay sleep.... Just had to get up and pee alot... So last night I tried to talk my hubby into s_x so we could make sure things were progressing and he straight up told me NO. I was like yes.... we have to...lol. He was like but he is so big now and i just don't feel right... I was like are you kidding me... I promise you will not touch him... He still wouldn't. So i guess no help from him. But my apt is at 2pm and I am leaving at 11 so I can get somethings done... Hope everyone has a good day and I will text ya'll if its good news.

patti and gabbi, i believe you two are the ones with the swelling. does urs go down at night? my ankles do but my feet don't hardly at all. they are still tight and hurt in the morning and i can push on them and they stick like that even first thing in the morning. i don't understand why they don't go down after im in bed. is this normal? my feet are so uncomfortable. i feel like they are gonna pop whenever i walk, its at the top of my feet. i hate it.

Cnasmom- How has your blood pressure been? I had swelling my last pregnancy that wouldn't go down and I think it was due to pre-e. Though, I know you CAN just have swelling and not pre-eclampsia or high blood pressure. Try proping your feet up on a couple pillows when you go to bed at night. That might help?

I am horrible about remembering names of all of you.... cnasmom... i have the really bad swollen feet and cankles and it does go down during the night, but not completely. My blood pressure has been fine, so I know that its not pre-e. I do notice they get much better when I walk at night! You girls should all really be getting a good walk in... it really helps with sleeping too! I notice when I don't walk at night, I don't sleep very good! I walk my dog, Stella, usually 1.5 miles then when I get back I get on the ball and bounce and rotate, drink my water and watch some TV... it definitely gives my legs a work out, but i guess that will be good during labor as I will be going the natural route and will be walking and squatting a lot. Anyways, I hope that helps! Not trying to be a martyr about the walking thing, but I swear it helps me sleep better... think it gets all that restless leg stuff out too!

Boodahbaby- I agree with you about the walking thing. I also tend to sleep better after I've got a good walk in. Though, its been really hard to motivate myself to actually go out and walk. I only walk in the evenings because its much cooler out, and by evening time, I'm usually exhausted. When Im not preggo my normal bedtime was like 11 or 12am, now I'm lucky to stay up after 9:00. It stinks being so tired all the time. Sadly, it will only get worse from here! Plus, of course walking helps bring the baby down and prepare you for labor...so there are tons of benefits...I just need to remind myself of that, maybe I'll get more motivated!
