Fifths disease? I've never heard of it.

gabby509 - May 8

Hey girls. Dawn, I hope you're feeling a little better tonight than you did earlier. I was getting worried about you. I had a looooong day. My boss doesn't realize that I'm 9 months pregnant sometimes and she made a list of housework for me to do today. I was like what the hell! So I finally just got home and stopped at wawa and got a sandwich and of course when I got up to get a drink Tank ate the roll off the top of the sandwich. I flew across the kitchen like I had wings, and jumped on his back. I was starving and totally not willing to give up half of my dinner. So needless to say I'm still hungry and Tank will be spending the rest of the night in his cage! Dawn and Newlywed you might want to try drinking some gatorade, it will restore your electrolytes. When you have all that diarrhea it drains all of them and you'll get extremely worn out and run down. I've been chugging gatorade because of all my stomach issues, and it has helped me to stay hydrated. I gotta go prop my marshmallow feet up because they are insanely swollen. Be back later!

Oh and fefer, you said fifths disease is parvovirus? Is that the same Parvovirus that puppies get?

Sprinkles - May 8

You know i always speak to soon lol i got up to make dinner for chas and it slammed me again I got this sharp pain in my abdomin and I felt like puking at the same time but i held that in and then i felt like i was going to pa__s out... so i layed down and woke up choking on pukey water again lol ... there is no peace for me. You know gabby i wonder about that when she said parvo virus lol I am like umm i hope I didnt catch anything funny from my pupster but he looks so healthy and happy ... O and my poo doesnt even smell like anything isnt that weird. I would like gatorade but I dont think I should go to the store since I would have to drive

Sprinkles - May 8

Ahh I googled it and it says it is a human virus and cannot be pa__sed from dog to person or vise versa

gabby509 - May 8

that's so wierd that it has the same name. Yeah I wouldn't recommend driving, especially if you've alraedy felt faint. Well if I lived closer, I would drop some off. When I was having diarrhea before and was super nausseous, my docotr said that the baby wll be fine even if I didn't eat for a few days. She said that the baby would live off of my fat stores for up to like 3-5 days or something. She said only to worry if I didn't feel movement and if I started getting dehydrated. So just keep trying to drink water and if you can't do that then make some jello, like newlywed said. That's pretty light on your belly.

Hey girlies, thanks for thinking about us. Like disko said, the amnio wasn't bad, the shot just burned a little. They hooked me up to the monitor and I was having a lot of contractions so they sent me to triage to watch them more. I got a shot of brethine which has always worked before, but it just slowed them for about twenty minutes then they came back. We were just waiting on the amnio results which came back around noon and they said no baby. I was sooooo upset but I guess he had other ideas. I kept contracting 2-3 minutes apart so they admitted me. All I ever knew was I was 2cm and 5O% effaced at the beginning, and they never checked me again. They tried giving me another shot and that time it did absolutely nothing. I refused any pain meds because if I was going to have him I didn't want to be groggy. I basically labored for ten hours waiting my turn lol because mine wasn't an immediate emergency. My husband had to put on this white jumpsuit, little blue booties and headcover, and a mask. They made him wait outside while I got my spinal. That wasn't so bad either, I had to hunch over my giant belly and arch my back but there was a nurse there supporting my weight. I had my head on her shoulder and she was holding my hand. The shot to numb stung a little but wasn't bad, and I didn't even feel the needle go in. My feet immediately started getting warm and tingly and that eventually moved up. Holy hell there were a load of people in there too. My hubby was allowed to come in and the anestesia started making me feel horrible. It felt like the room was closing in, and I couldn't get enough air, like I was having a panic attack. I don't know how to describe it but it was scary and I'd say the worst part. Somebody was next to my head talking to me and it really helped, and once they got a little oxygen on me I started to calm down. My husband is such a wierdo. He leans around the curtain to watch part of the surgery and is fine, but gets all squeemish when they inject something in my IV with a needle lol he probably thought they were trying to kill me because I was grunting and kinda shouting out. I couldn't feel anything but the amount of pressure is phemominal. He came out wailing at 9:24pm at 6 pounds 14 ounces and they took him in the other room. Guess what? No knot. I just cried and cried, I couldn't control it. It was like I was finally able to let go of all the stress I had worrying about him all these months. I got to see him for a few seconds then they took him up to the nicu. Daddy went with him but got kicked out at 11 when they do their shift change so he was in the recovery room with me. I finally got some ice chips after not being able to eat for a day and a half and it was a big relief. I had to lay flat on my back till 3am because if you sit up before 6 hours you can get a spinal headache. After that they gradually raised the bed up till about 53O when they took out my cathater and made me get up. That part wasn't too fun and my stomach was really sore. I got to go upstairs in a wheel chair and hold him for a while. He's such a cutie. He's got black hair and when it's dry it's all spikey lol and the cutest little lips and cheeks. He's stuck in the nicu for a few days because he sucked in a little amniotic fluid. It made it harder for him to breathe so he was trying to hard and wearing himself out. He's just on a little bit of oxygen, just the same little bar like I had during surgery. I have some pictures, but they look a little scary. They stick monitors on them to check their heart rate and breathing so all the wires from those make it look way worse than what it is. I'm happy to share, I just don't want anybody to freak out. He's doing just fine and should be home in a few days. I'm going back to the hospital to be with him in the morning. I'm pumping right now, they won't let you b___stfeed while they're there. My nipples are sore from it lol I'm sure everyone wanted to know that. Lemme know if I left anything out! I haven't had a chance to catch up on posts but I will in a little bit. I'm just gonna be resting tonight.

Oh Kay, I'm so happy to hear you and you're little guy are doing great! We were all worried about you and couldn't wait until you got back to share your birth story with us. I'm not sure if you heard but Marisol had Chelsea also. I think Weds. She was a little more than 4 lbs I beleive but they are both doing good as well. I think most of us are sick right now, blah, with the poopies and dawn and newlywed with flu type symptoms. But we're all still preggo. It's great to hear that there was no knot. Well I'll let you get back to pumping (sounds like you're having a blast) but keep us informed! And again Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I forgot the fun part. I look like I got my a__s kicked lol my veins are bad so it took them 3 tries to get my iv in. The iv came out in my arm so it swelled up like a water balloon with fluid haha it didnt hurt at all it just looked and felt really funny, and they took a few tries getting my blood too so I have big bruises all over my arms. Oh and my feet are swollen and I forgot my uterus has to shrink so I still have contractions, mostly when I pump LOL I'm still a whiner! I guess if I look on the bright side I'll be nice and healed when he gets home. My sister got me a sling and I swear I'm never putting him down lol

oh Kay, I'm so glad everything went ok! That's awesome! I would love to see the pics too! gabby/dawn - yeah, you can't catch the fifths disease fromm your pets but they get something similar. :) I don't know why they give it the same name. It sounds like some terrible disease but it's actually pretty tame. Anyways, get some rest everyone! No more shyts ok??? I was good all day today - feel much better so maybe I had some virus or ate something. It's 9:30 here and I just sat down after about 2 hrs of cleaning but my house is spotless and all the laundry is done!!! woohoo!!! My cousin just flew in from San Diego and should be here by 10. I really am not doing a good job of taking it easy - but all my work is done and my dd will be gone for the weekend and I can RELAX!!!

Kay -congratulations again!!! I'm so happy for you and your family. Thanks for sharing your birth story with us, and send pics! After all these months I can't wait to finally see Curtis Jr. As excited as you probably are, try and take it easy for the next few days...while you still can -once he's home with you, the craziness will really begin;) I hope everyone is feeling better today. I had an off day yesterday -no poops but just sore and crampy all day. And mood swings!!! It's pretty bad when I can tell myself that I'm having horrible mood swings. Oh, and insomnia..I can't sleep anymore:( I wake up every 2-3 hours and stay awake for at least an hour. Why? I have no idea, but it's not fun and makes for a really, really long day. Oh, and for those of you who remember her, I was chatting with Lou on facebook and she's doing great (other than not being able to sleep too) -5 1/2 weeks left for her.

gabby509 - May 9

Good Morning Girlies! Well I am officially 25 years old today. I feel like I'm 80 though and that my body is falling apart. I actually got some sleep last night but only I think because I knew I didn't have to get up early. Oh and I just opened up my email and there was one that was t_tles YOU ARE 9 MONTHS PREGNANT!!!! I was like Oh my Gosh, I am 9 months pregnant, haha. It seems like it flew by, but I have felt pregnant forever. Dawn, I hope you are feeling better today. It's good that you got down some food. Oh and when I was little my mom used to give me and my sister flat coca cola when we had a sick stomach and it worked. It's like coke syrup that they used to use years ago. But I hope your poopies stopped and you got some rest last night. Ok well I'm gonna go watch the baby story and bringing home baby and bawl my eyes out, I do it every day.
