i am 34 weeks pregnant and im really worried that i might be going into early labour (i hope not!). What makes me think this is that i had a really thick discharge the other morning and it came out in about 3 or 4 lumpy bits which i am worried is my plug.
Iv also had period pain like cramps and pressure in my lower stomach but im not sure if there due to an upset stomach or not, i thought it was just because (and im sorry to share this with you all) i have had dihorrea but then i have just read that dihorrea can be a sign of early labour too.
Iv also had lower back ache, i had some early in the pregnancy but that was due to a water infection which im sure i aint got this time so can someone please tell me what they think wether its they think i am going into early labour or im just being silly. i dont really want to ask my midwife because she makes me feel stupid for asking these sort of things

whats the point of hiring a midwife if you can't ask "silly" questions? I would call the midwife, explain what you're feeling and if you dont' find that helpful call the hospital. most likely they will tell you to come in. early labor shouldn't be overlooked.

Your mucus plug is constantly being lost and reformed. I would worry until there is blood in it. I have been having back pain and cramps on and off for weeks also (I'm 34.5weeks) but I think it is normal. I wouldn't worry unless you are having actual contractions. BTW if your midwife makes you feel dumb, maybe you should think about getting a different one next time. It is her job to keep us calm and not feel bad/dumb for worrying about out babies!
