Have You Dreamt The Sex Of Your Baby

Hey Ladies, So I've had a few dreams about baby so far, and in each of them the baby's been a girl. But when my doctor offered to tell me what the s_x of the baby is I decided to keep it a suprise. So I will have to wait to find out! I have a question for those who have already found out what they are having-- it is "were your dreams correct?" Did you have dreams about your baby, before you found out what the s_x is, and now that you know, were your dreams right? I am so curious... :)

Where I live, they won't tell you the gender of the baby unless you're considered 'high risk' (don't get me started on that topic!) My 'gut' told me I was having a girl, all of the chinese gender prediction charts told me I was having a girl, but in the 2 dreams I had about having the baby (and I've only had 2 of them so far) it was a baby boy and in my dreams I freaked out when we brought him home because in my dreams the nursery was already done (in a girly theme) and the only baby clothes I had were pink....so I started crying since I had no clothes for him to wear.....I'd wake up from the dreams so upset! Anyways, because both DH and I wanted to know the gender, we went to a private 3d/4d ultrasound clinic about 10 weeks ago, and found out....the dreams were right! Our baby boy is due on June 3rd:) Good luck!

I dreamt that I was having a boy and it was wrong! Having a girl (as per the 5 ultrasounds we had so far!), due May 9th!

I have dreams about a little girl all the time, but I know for a fact it's a boy...and have had that confirmed every time I go for an ultrasound. I think it's probably because I babysat for a 5 month old one summer when I was a teenager while her Mom was at work every day (so I got very attached). Honestly though, in my waking hours, I kind of had an intuition that it would be a boy, and I was right about that. They say that mothers are usually right about the gender of their child about 70 percent of the time I think I read, so trust your gut!

eastcoast!! what a cool story! exactly what i was hoping for! thank you for sharing that :) and cgGirl and Rachel29, thank you too! now i am totally confused :0 LOL I would love to trust my gut but because i want a girl it is hard to tell what is intuition and what is just me wanting..... thanks ladies!!

Wierd, it seems to be everyones dreams are wrong! My dreams were wrong but my gut was right both times. I knew my daughter was a girl but till I found out always dreamed I was having a boy. I even remember one where I was at my ultrasound and there was an audience of my friends and family sitting in front of a proector screen and somebody using a pointer and saying "see there's the p___s". This time I knew I was having a boy and was already saying he and him before we actually found out. I didn't have any dreams before hand, but after I did have one that he actually turned out to be a girl....I've had enough ultrasounds to know thats not the case though lol

Oh btw, I went to one website where they had ALL the old wives tales/gender predictor myths and you go through and answer each one and it tells you based on all of them what percentage of the 'tests' said you were having a boy or girl. Mine said 48% chance girl 52% chance boy lol so after doing all of them my odds were pretty much 5O/5O. Like rachel said, I've read that 71% of women are correct about their baby's gender before knowing from an ultrasound so your gut has better odds of being right.

Ironmama, you're welcome! My dreams have been right about other things in the past, so I'm (slowly) learning to pay attention to them -it's just sometimes hard when my instinct (along with all the gender prediction charts!) are telling me something different. But after I was telling my friends about this, one of them told me something that stuck -if everything (including my instinct) is telling me one thing (i.e. a girl), and then my dreams say the exact opposite (i.e. a boy), it may be my body/mind's way of trying to get me to pay attention since when I'm asleep and dreaming is about the only time that I can actually listen to what my body's telling me -the rest of the time, there's too much going on for me to listen. Oh, and I should say too that I really didn't care whether we had a boy or a girl -I wasn't hoping for one or the other...that's why I looked at the old wives' tales and gender prediction charts in the first place:)

Hello ladies. My first dream and gut was a boy. looked exactly like dh when he was one. it was he most awesome feeling. but then we had he ultrasound and she couldn't see and said if she had to guess she'd guess a girl, after that i started having girl dreams but these were frantic anxious dreams. and my gut was still saying it's a boy. and a month ago we had a 3d scan and there lo and behold, was my little boy. so not sure if that helps, because i was convinced with all the girl dreams that it must be a girl.

we too are keeping the gender a surprise. Baby is due Jun 29th. All old wives tale and chinese calendar say that i am having a girl and i too day-dream about a girl!! But when i am asleep i dream about loosing my baby somewhere...and i wake up crying for being so careless. Funny thing is, the gender is unknown even in my dream...hehehe

My dreams were NOT correct

I "knew" since the day I POAS that it was a boy. Just had this unshakable feeling and no matter how many people told me I "looked like girl" I was not convinced. We too decided to be surprised and right up until Baby was born I had people telling me to not be so set that it was boy because they were just SURE that it was a girl. Well...I welcomed my SON into the world beginning of December and am enjoying being RIGHT!!! :) lol True for me!

oddly enough, about 3 years ago I had dreams of having 4 children-3 boys and a girl, 2 twins. In my dream my eldest was a boy with dark hair and my eyes. I told my boyfriend that if that dream were to come true, I would be pregnant within the next 5 years or so because of the ages of the kids Now, not even 5 years after that conversation, I am pregnant with a baby boy, and am having dreams about rescuing babies from harm and watching my boyfriend attempt to calm a crying baby. Odd, right?

my husband and I both KNEW we were having a girl... it was cute how my husband came up to me one day when I was about 12 weeks pregnant and said "honey, we are having a girl arent we?" (he really wanted a boy) I said "yes love, I think we are... are you okay with that?" lol he was like "of course I am" we found out at almost 20 weeks its a girl then had it confirmed at a 3d us at 29 weeks. :)

I dreamt from the very beginning of this pregnancy that my LO was a girl which was somewhat odd because before this pregnancy I had literally been pregnant just the month before (but miscarried) and had always had dreams it was a boy. Well like I said the minute I got pregnant (again) my dreams turned around and I dreamt I was having a girl and low and behold, she's a girl!! :)
