i'm with you! every single thing gives me heartburn... extra strength zantac is my new best friend. i find that it works pretty well. my midwife said it's perfectly safe to take throughout pregnancy. how far along are you? i am 35.5 weeks now, and i am hoping for immediate relief after the baby is born!
good luck!

hey, I'm 31 weeks and have awful heartburn - I don't even have to eat anything - water will do it. My dd didn't give me much heartburn at all and she had a ma__sive head of hair. This one will probably come out bald. :) Your tummy is just all squished in there and your esophagus opening has loosened up a bit with pregnancy- sometimes it really doesn't matter that you've eaten anything. What's funny with me is that if I lay in bed upright it's worse, but if I lay on my side it gets better. Kind of the opposite of what they tell you. :) Try a gla__s of milk too - it worked for me last time, but this time the thought of milk makes me want to gag.

I'm with ya ladies. It doesn't matter what it is I eat...I get it. I've just gotten into a routine of taking a tums right before I eat AND one after. Sometimes it does the trick. THough I'm 38 weeks and the last week or so I've been getting it less frequently. Just another perk of being pregnant! Just remember, you wont have it forever...knock on wood. GOOD LUCK!

EVERYTHING gives me heartburn. Mine is so bad that I need to throw up EVERY night before bed and take some Gaviscone just so I can get off to sleep.~~~~ As far as peanut b___ter goes, I don’t eat it~~~ It is something that I have been advised NOT to eat throughout my pregnancy because of the peanut content~~ There are lots of opinions about whether or not you should be eating any sort of peanut so I just don’t eat it to be safe. And I have also been told the hair thingy is true and is the cause of all this heartburn. By the sounds of it we will all end up with really hairy babies. heheheheheheh
