Hi ladies, I am curious about the hotsling. Is it a good buy? How easy is it to use? Is it easy to br___tfeed with? What are your experiences with it? Thank you ahead of time!!

I've asked this question a few times on here, no one seems to know. BUT I know that the baby carriers like Baby Bjorn aren't really intended for newborns, I learned that lesson with my daughter. They are useless until your baby is at least 3 months old, before that the poor thing just rolls up in a ball in there and it honestly looks like it might be doing some damage. Go to amazon and search "moby wrap" and "maya wrap"...not for the hot southern summers, but they look so comfy.

Baby Bjorn are great though, just not with a tiny newborn. I want to get one of those white ones. But still need a sling...I wish someone would tell us which one to buy, hahaha. They have reviews for them on amazon, but then you always have the positive and the negative ones that make you question it even more.

I just bought a Peanut Shell Sling. My sister-in-law ued hers with my nephew and she loved it. She hauled him around everywhere in it, and used it even as he got older and he just kinda sat on her hip and was held in place with the sling.

You HAVE to let us know how it goes with the hotsling, Heather. I'm still not sure of which one to get. Is the material stretchy on it? I know they have stretchy and regular ones online.

I got an Infantino Euro Rider front/back carrier but I also want a sling. I've heard of the Peanut Shell and that is probably what I'll get but I'm going to check out the hotslings since I've never seen them before.

oh, how confusing! I looked at both the sites for hotslings and peanut shell and they look so much the same! Anymore feedback from those of you that get them would be great! The even seem to be about the same price...

sashasmama, I dont think the one I got is stretchy but I kinda like it that way...it is padded so it wont ill my shoulder lol. and the pattern I got matches most of my other stuff (like diaper bag and such) so Im happy with it. I'll let you know how it works out when I actually have a baby to put in it lol

The peanut Shell works realy well with a newborn. They just kind of snuggle up to you inside it and it keeps them nice and tight. My nephew loved to sleep in his. My sil wore hers almost all day most days!!

okay I figured I would bump this back up. Well my daughter is 9 days old and she really does not like being put in it. I thought I may of bee n doing it wrong but i am not. I guess she feels too confined in it. she does look stuffed in there. She was born 9 lb 10oz so i wouldnt think weight had to do with it. I hope this helps. I may try it again in a week to see how it goes.
