Sashasmama, hey, wow, I had no idea you couldn't have an epidural if you wanted one. I totally missed that. I really hope you are right and I have a easier time too. Right now I am just flippin' miserale. I got no sleep last night because my hubby was snoring, and then today my morning sickness is back!! What the hell. I can hardly eat and I have been burping all day. This just sucks and all I want to do is cry. My daughter and my hubby are napping and I am p__sed that he is sleeping. Why the hell should he get to sleep when he is the one who kept me up all friggin' night!! He is on the couch right now and all I want to do it go over and dump a big gla__s of ice water in his face. I am so exhausted and I can't get comfortable, besides, as soon as I lay my head down my daughter will wake up. I want to get out of this house, but I'm so tired and there is nowhere to go and nothing I really feel like doing- other than crying. The more I hear him snoring the angrier I get. I feel like going over to the couch and screaming at him to GET UP AND DO SOMETHING! ANYTHING! JUST QUIT MAKING THAT DISGUSTING NOISE! I am having a really bad day and have no one to talk to. I want this kid out and I want myself back again. I am so tired of being tired. Atleast once the baby is out I won't feel so invaded all the time. Okay, he quit making that awful noise... maybe he is dead? No, I checked, he's still breathing, and I still want to bash him in the face. I am so hungry, but everytime I eat I feel so sick. I just want my water to break so this can be over.

Hey! I just got back from my doctor's appt and getting my crib. I'm dilated "one finger width" and my cervix is "very soft and thin" It wasn't my normal doctor because he was busy so I didn't really bother asking her how much one finger width was or how much of a percentage very soft and thin was. I was just so excited to hear I had some progress! :) And after going from store to store I finally found the crib I wanted. Not very many stores carry white cribs. I'm exhausted though because I only got two hours of sleep last night. Mandi I'm sorry you're having such c___ppy day :( Hopefully things will pick up for you a little later. Sashasmama I think you are SOOO brave! I think it's one thing to decide you want to have a natural child birth....but to have no decision! I'd be scared out of my mind if I was told I couldn't have an epidural. Well I'm glad things went good for you though! Congratulations

Samantha, one finger is 1cm, and if he told you that you were soft, that just means no effacement yet. I'm still 2cm and he said I was effaced "a little bit", not even enough to give me a percentage. I think that since I didn't get the news I wanted, that it has had a huge impact on my att_tude today. My hubby is a great guy. I am so glad you found the crib you wanted. I never asked you how you decorated your nursery?

Hey, just noticed that he said it was thinned out too. If he would have said you were still long, then that would mean no effacement. It looks like you are pretty well effaced. WAY TO GO! You have me beat there. I am still long, but soft. You said you got a white crib, what type did you go with?

Well I guess she doesn't really have a nursery. We're staying back and forth at my parents and his parents for a few months till we can get on our feet. I'm hoping to move out by December. Still a long ways to go :( So for here at my parents we have a ba__sinet and for his parents we have the crib which is where we're going to be most of the time. I don't really know what kind it is...it turns into a day bed and has a droor on the bottom. According to the box its "the worlds easiest crib to a__semble!" lol so we'll see if that's true or not when my boyfriend tries to put it together. I still haven't decided on what kind of bedding to buy!! There's this one from Cocalo...its called Tropical Punch. It's really pretty. It's like jungle animals and it's pink. But its really expensive...I know if I get all the things I want to match it it'll end up being close to 300 dollars...so I'm still debating whether to get her the expensive bedding, or a cheaper bedding and a rocker too...I dont know

Samantha, you know if you go to Babies"R"Us, you can buy simple pink, or green crib bedding for very inexpensive and it is still nice. Then you could just buy some accent pieces to go with everything and it would be really cute. Also, if you are interested, I may still have all the pieces to Madalyn's crib set. I think it is in the garage. It is all pint toile and really cute. I have all the bedding, the mobile, the diaperstacker, a lamp, and three valances. All I would ask is that you pay for the shipping if you want it. If you are interested I will look in the garage for it. I think it is in a Rubbermaid bin and easy to get to. I would be happy to give it to you.

OMG, MJ, I so know what you mean. Right now we have this sleeping arrangement where my hubby sleeps with our daughter and I stay in the kids' room with Evan. Well, of course he gets to sleep all night while I nurse every 2 hours. And sometimes I just hate him so much for sleeping...Oh, and I remember him talking in his sleep when I was prego and miserable and I would just hit him with my pillow. Poor guy would go "whaaaat are you doing???" I had really bad nausea towards the end too, with this burping you were talking about...I took Zantac once in a while for acid, it would help with the burping. When is your due date again? The 14th?

Thanks Samantha! I had an epi. the first time around, but only one regular dose which lasted me about 1 hour (all while I was completely pa__sed out with an oxygen mask on my face) so when I came to I was already 8-9 cm dilated, and it hurt so freakin' bad, I asked for more, so he gave me a "toddler dose" and that made my blood pressure drop again and only lasted 30 mins. Then I pushed without it and the dr. did an episiotomy without it or any anesthetic for that matter, so I was already familiar with the pain, I just didn't realize how much stronger the pain is the second time around. I wouldn't wish that on ANYONE. Oh well, now it just makes me question whether or not we'll have another baby...My hubby really doesn't want to see me go through the pain again. But hey, why am I complaining, hahaha, I'm sure women had it much worse back in a day.

OMG! I knew I'd come back and there would be like a million posts since I was here last, lol! Sorry it took me so long to get here but I had no internet access at the hospital and I just got back home this afternoon. I'm so freakin tired too and will post birth story later, tomorrow with pics! I also couldn't text much more because I have to pay ten cents per text since I don' t use it much. OK, so Ava Soleil Ca__sidy was born at 5:12pm on Tuesday, July 8. She was 7lbs 9oz and was 20.5" long. Blue eyes and blonde hair! She's beautiful and perfect in every way to me :) She did well in everything but we had a few issues with bf'ing and a lactation consultant came to see me today. It's going better, but will not be all a-ok until my milk comes in. Right now it's starting, but is still mostly colostrum. I had to supplement with tiny cups of formula in the hospital (cups so she wouldn't get the nipple of bottle mixed up with me. Her latcing was the problem. Shes waking now...I'll post tomorrow :) love, STef

Stef, it is so great to hear from you. I can't wait to see the pictures. How are you doing? Any tearing or anything? With our first I had two 2nd degree tears and it was awful for about 6 weeks.

My OB told me I could try my b___st pump since he is inducing me in a week anyway. I used it for 20 minutes like he said and nothing has happened, not even one little contraction. He said to only try once a day, so I will probably do it again tomorrow too. I know it works for some women. I think I am getting desperate to get this over with because I have been so sick all day. Tomorrow to try and get my mind off of how sick I am, my friend Julie and I are taking the kids to the mall to walk and have lunch. I hope it works and doesn't make me feel worse. Is anyone up?

Stef I'm so glad that you and Ava are doing well! Congrats again! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said he really thinks it will be this weekend for me. I'm 2 CM and he stripped my membranes. He didn't comment on effacement, but if I was 50% two weeks ago, then I have to be close to if not 100%. I am so excited. I've been spotting since yesterday, as well as having some contractions. It definately feels different since he stripped them. He also thinks she will be an 8 lb baby. Whew! Nice and healthy. :)

Has anyone on here had their membranes stripped? I've been having sharp pains in my Va-JJ, and I want to know if it's normal. Also cramps.

Good morning ladies. CeeCee, it is normal to have those pains after your membranes are stripped. I had mine stripped with my daughter, but not this time. I am going mall walking with a friend and the kids today too. I need to progress more, for my own sake. My induction is in 6 DAYS! I feel so much better today than I did yesterday, no morning sickness yet this morning (knock on wood). Lucky, how is your mom doing? I hope she is going to be alright. Okay, so it seems we all need to get walking, so I'll check back in a bit. Contractions for everyone!!!
