hi everyone. well i had my drs appt today. i got good news and bad news. the good news is i only failed one of my glucose tests yesterday. ok the bad news. i have alot of problems with my kidney during pregnancy. my uterus piches off my tube that runs between my kidney and my bladder. so what it does is kinda shuts down my kidney. very very painful. so since saturday i have been in pain. normally they put a stent inside to open up the tube, but thats causes even more pain and problems. so my dr doesnt want to do that to me. thats was the reason for him inducing me early. well he told me today that he may take lylee as early as june 1. im due july 4. thats really early. im really upset about it. i feelthat it is going to cause even moreproblemsfor lylee being born that early. im just sick to my stomach about it and reallyneed some support thru this. i know he wont take her if she isnt fully developed but it still scares me.

KENDRA, Congrats on your test!!! KOLLEEN, i'm so sorry you are having this problem :( It sounds though like your doctor is a good one and is watching out for you. From what I understand 36 weeks is considered "term" so I think lylee will be fine if she has to come out then. The dr. won't do anything to compromise her or you! Well girls, I am about to hop in the shower and finish packing. We will be off in about 2 hours!!!! Yay :) I won't be back home until Sunday so I'll miss you all! I am excited but nervous too to be away from home and in a strange place while pregnant. I also am scared to do so much riding in the car because I am terrified of getting in a car accident all of a sudden! I know it sounds nuts, but does anyone else feel this way? I'm just so scared of someone hitting us everytime I am in the car :( Ack! Anyways, we'll have fun and make it back safely. Talk to you soon! xoxoxo Stef

kollen- dont freak it. they are talking of inducing me that early the closer i get to that date the more they will deciede. if they do take ur baby that early they will give meds to help lungs develope & think positive; dont think horrible i know its hard i feel the same sometimes. although id love ot be holding my son in like 47 days instead of 87 lol. but i dont want him to fight for his life either. i know the feeling keep your head up your doctor wont do anything to hurt you or ur unborn child. take a breather & look at it that way. yah know? hjopefully that help <3
stef- thanks i know i was very thrilled about my test

Hey girls - sorry I wasn't on yet today - I am so tired - last night i was at Labor and Delivery for preterm labor! I had to have an iv and a shot to stop my contractions that were 5 mins apart lasting for a minute - the good news is that I did not dialate at all! Thank goodness but it was scary - nd the nurse who did my IV really jacked it up and I have a huge bruise on my arm! ARRGGGGHHH but I saw my nurse from last time se is going to hopefully be on when Megan is born she a__sisted in Aidan's delivery and that would be so cool....KOLLEEN - don't worry - everything wil be fine - 36 weeks isn't 26 weeks and if they know they are going to do it KENDRA is right they will give you hormones to mature the babies lungs....STEF have fun on your trip it will be so great for you two to get away.....try not to worry so much! Everything is going to be ok...KENDRA that is so awesome about your test! you go girl - I plan to go to work tomorrow and I will be on more I promise right now though I just want to eat my dinner and get in bed - I am exhausted and I had a nice nap too.....I didn't realize how much that hospital ordeal could take out of you....Good night girls - KOLLEEN I will try to keep you company tomorrow! HEY to everyone else! xoxox hugs to you all Tina

Hi guys! Sorry I have been run ragged and have been so tired I haven't posted. I am so glad to hear they were able to stop your labor, TINA! Thank goodness no dilation, you are about 30 weeks, right? I had my son Noah at 31 weeks, and that is my milestone this pregnancy, to get past that week marker. KENDRA - congrats on your test, you are doing so great! Nice feeling to know you are rocking your cla__ses, right? KOLLEEN- I have done so much research and spent so much time in a NICU, I feel like I could be a preemie nurse. Don't worry, your doc is weighting and considering all the variables in this situation to try and make the best decision they can to have a healthy mom & baby. Do some research yourself on a 35-36 weeker preemie, and you'll see that they'll do absolutely everything they can, you'll prob get steroid shots to mature the baby's lungs, and they may even do an amnio to test your fluid to see that the baby's lungs are matured, that is usually the biggest concern & issue that preemies deal with, no matter what week they are. And girls typically do much better than boys do when they are born prematurely, somehow research has shown that it's like they have had an extra week to develop than boys do, they don't know why, but it just is. Also, if you can, spend as much time lying on your left side, to increase blood flow and nutrient supply to your placenta to help get Lylee as big as she can get, the more she weighs the better she'll do as a preemie. I hope some of this helps, and try to have hope and faith in your heart & mind, it will help so much! St. Gerard is the Catholic Patron Saint of expectant mothers, if you wouldn't mind I will say a prayer for all of you ladies and your little ones, and light a candle when I go to church on Sunday, my faith (shaky as it may get sometimes) really helped me get through my pregnancy and early delivery with my son Noah. Take care everyone!

I know, I am so impatient in a way, 1st bc I don't know if it's a boy or girl, so I'm totally curious, and 2nd bc I am on baby #3 and I am so OVER pregnancy, I just want to get to the baby part! Have any of you been doing this...to satisfy my baby-cravings, I watch EVERY show that has anything to do with babies. A Baby's Story, Deliver Me, Babies-Special Delivery. Abby & Luka just had their baby on ER which shows reruns during the day on TBS, OMG, I've been watching everything! LOL. And if there is nothing on when I get a chance to watch TV around here, I DVR whatever I find on the guide so there is always something baby-oriented on the tube to watch. I also love going to Babies'R'Us and picking up little things or basically any store and checking out what's new since the last time I had a baby. Baby magazines? Got them. Chick-lit books about someone having a baby? Check. Internet websites that are all about babies? Been there, done that. It's a sickness, I tell ya! I have to stop myself b4 I go buy that video game where you can raise a virtual baby so I can fulfill some crazy need to start mothering a newborn RIGHT NOW! ROFLMAO, I'm gaga for baby! In a few months I'll be in the thick of it and think, WTH was I thinking?

AMY - I went through that phase - I taped 4 baby stories a day on tlc and 4 bringing home baby....I use to watch it all special delivery etc ...but I stopped watching that after a few really scary deliveries scared me. I kept with the feel good stories...LOL - I had them taping all week and would watch them on the weekend I stopped taping then after yesterday being home I decided to start taping them again. I like watching them on the weekend when nothing else is on like usual my computer is driving me nuts - something in the keyboard makes my keyboard go uppercase for no reason and sometimes the only thing I can do to fix it is reboot - annoying! Ok I am going to take a nap now I am beat and I need to get ready for a garage sale tomorrow....

AMY- i totally did and do the same thing. i watch a baby story like 4 times a day. and im always watching er. i missed the ones where abby had her baby. my dvr only records a show 5 times then it automatically delets them as another one is recorded. so i caught up on them today. theyb are looking for a nanny. i want to get caught up so i can watch the new ones and not be lost. thanks for the advice about lylee. i just thought about it alot yesterday and i will just hold out for as long as i can. i know my dr wont take her if she is not ready. he says its up to me and how bad im feeling at the time. so as my mom wold say. buck up stuck it up and get thru it. lol. so what does everyone have planned for the week end? i have a church function tomorrow and then my bf daughter is having her baby's 1st birthday party. of course the dh is working tomorrow. but its all over time hrs. or so he says, i told him he has to be off by 2 because he has the car and i need to go to the birthday. im picking up some baby stuff from my bf for a girl that i goto school with. she is 19 on her 2nd baby and has no help. so i told her that everyone is trying to give me their old baby stuff but i have NO ROOM for any of it. she is so grateful. so i have to pick it up tomorrow and take it to her. i had 2 test today. 95 on one and 100 on the other. thank god. this is the cla__s that i thought was going to be the hardest. so far so good. well break is over i have to go to lecture now. YAH!!!! its so boring and im so tired im afraid of falling asleep.... lol

Hello all! I know this place is quiet on the weekends, just thought I'd jump on real quick. Doing some housework this am while hubby has the kids at baseball practice. It's GORGEOUS again today, 85 for a high and sunny, here in SE PA. I LOVE this weather, it's perfect, not too hot, and I can sit outside on the big patio while Noah runs around and plays in the yard, and I sit in the rocker and read a book, sipping my ice tea. I'm trying to soak it up b4 it gets too hot & nasty and I won't be able to stand it, preggers as we all will be in the heat of the summer. I'm so anxious for the baby to be here! I can't wait. I'm 27 weeks today, does that mean third trimester even though I'm not really 7 months yet? I forget how these things work. Anyway, I am dying to get all of my baby gear together, we still need to purchase a new dresser/changing table combo, and I'll be able to fill it up. We just need to get the little stuff, diapers, wipes, burp cloths. Things like that, and also a gender neutral layette for the first month or so, in case we have a girl. If it's a boy we are set bc I saved so much of both Andrew & Noah's clothing. Well, I'm rambling. I have to go put something together for lunch for the family. See you all later, and hope you have a great weekend!

I can't believe I will be 30 weeks next wednesday....usually no one posts on the weekend - except of course the weekend I was out of town everyone was online! LOL it figures ok so our garage sale was pretty successful but I did not sell my washer and dryer like I had hoped - maybe next weekend....The swing I registered for today arrived compliments of my BFF - her and I love to have garage sales and we had so much fun today - I kept telling her how much fun I was having - oh oh oh and my mother in law and her sisters all want to pitch in and buy my crib which is great - so that will be another surprise because I am not sure if they will buy me white or cherry and you know what ???? I really have no preference because I have a white dresser and a cherry wood dresser.....I am getting so excited so far I have my changing table pad, swing, diaper bag, wipes and 1 package of diapers......it's beginning to become real to me - HEATHER - coem back girl!!! I MISS YOU......Ok so let's week let's all check in more! LOL It was cold and windy today which kinda sucked for the garage sale but I hope tomorrow is nice - my hubby is going down to a car show tomorrow and I am so excited for him to get out and do a guy things with his friends....plus I am going to get some more stuff taken care of - cleaning out my pantry and getting my kitchen more organized - isn't it kinda soon to be nesting??? oh well --- ok ladies I'll check in tomorrow! Hi sweeties - I have missed you all sooo much!! I have alot to tell you guys - I haven't read up on the latest, but will do soon. I am the proud mother to a baby boy born on April 15th at 28 1/2 weeks!!! Nevin Layne Martin was born c-section after my pre-eclampsia got to a really bad point on the friday before. We got flown via helicopter to Johns Hopkins Hospital because my bp was super high, they tried to keep him inside as long as possible, but I was getting sicker by the hour and they had to take him. I have never been as scared in my whole life, and am still scared every minute of every day. I did recieve both steroid shots for Nevin's lungs to develop faster, and when he was born he came out screaming! It was the best sound I've ever heard!! He is in the NICU now, but not on a breathing tube- just oxygen thru his nose. He weighed 2 lbs. 4oz. and was 14 1/2 inches long. I have never seen a more perfect human being. I couldn't imagine that I could love someone as much as I love him. I was VERY sick for two days after, but am doing much better now. My incision hurts like hell, and I'm still weak from the magnesium they had me on for a few days to prevent seizures. It will be a very long hard road ahead, but I still feel like the luckiest mom in the world. I was released yesterday from the hospital, but am staying across the street in a hotel for patients who have kids that are still in the hospital. Time has went so fast in the past week, and I can't believe everything that has happened. I need you guys more than ever, I found so much support from all of you, and I have missed you all so much!! I will post some pics of Nevin that I have from my cell phone on piczo soon. I will also try to catch up on all of you! :0) Talk to you guys soon,
