Hello everyone, Hello 4BUZYBEEZ & CHARLIBABE! Welcome! My name is Amy, I'm 31yo expecting baby #3 on July 19th, and I have two boys 8 & almost 4. We don't know what we are having this time. And I am at high-risk for premature labor, but am keeping fingers (and legs!) crossed that that doesn't happen. KENDRA - Oh, honey, I'm so sorry to hear about your scare! What is in our drinking water, guys? I'm glad that they were able to get things under control and get you back home. Isn't it funny how a little thing like a UTI or yeast infection can affect your pregnancy so seriously? Take your prescription and drink lots of water and cranberry juice, UTI's are no joke when you are pregnant, right! Whew, well I hope you can find a way to get off your feet everyday and rest, and keep your little one cooking longer, too. TINA- how great that you had a success with your garage sale, I've never held one, I always think no one will show up and I'll be stuck at the end of the day with all my stuff, lol! And don't even get me started on maternity clothes! I have outgrown my 2 pairs of jeans, and have been wearing 2 maternity jean skirts that I have since the weather is nicer, with flip-flops and regular t-shirts a couple sizes bigger. But I'm already sick of the same thing everyday! I will break down I guess and get some capri's or some loose cotton skirts or something and some more t-shirts and that should hold me over as well as during the postpartum period. But you know what I am having the worst time with? Finding cute, comfortable pj's! I am going to look on-line at Old Navy & Target today to see what I can find, because all the stuff I was wearing over the winter and early spring is too hot to sleep in now. STEF - Ugh, yucky nosebleeds. I've been pretty lucky, I haven't had that particular symptom, but I hear it can be pretty common. Of course it HAD to happen on your white pillow, right! Glad to hear you are doing well and are handling those BH's like a pro! KOLLEEN - I can't wait for that stimulus check to come, right now I cannot afford to be picky, we really need the extra money. PRECIOUS, LUCKY, CRYSTAL - How are you guys, what's new? HEATHER - Hope you and NEVIN & TOM are doing well, we are all very concerned that we haven't heard from you and I want to let you know you are in our thoughts & prayers. We are here for you if you get a chance to check in! Oh, I was thinking about something to tell you first-time mommies - when you are in the hospital, "borrow" (cough, ahem) some of the big, cloth pads that they will put under your bum in bed after labor. They are great to sleep on when your milk first comes in and you don't want to soak your own mattress & sheets, when you get the sweats after delivery and you lose your water weight, for when your baby might have diarrhea or is sick, etc. They are very handy, much larger than the "sheet savers" and mattress pads that you can buy for the baby's crib and can handle repeated washings even with bleach. Seriously, I wish I could buy them at the store! I got some after I had both of my boys and they were very, very useful. Today both of my boys are in school and I will just be resting at home, my DH is off for the next two days so we want to basically do voluntary bedrest for the next two days, the more I do that the better chances I have of not allowing my cervix to shrink anymore. My little one has been rolling and squirming all around, and I am really happy to feel so much good activity! BTW, we have narrowed down our name choices, I thought I would share with you all. If it's a boy - Luke Edward & if it's a girl either Ella Grace or Gianna Grace. (Edward is for my father, and Grace is for my DH's mother.) Funny story about the choice of Luke for a boy, my 8yo picked it out, he loves Star Wars & Luke Skywalker, and one day he heard me & DH discussing names & asked what we thought of Luke? I don't know who was more surprised that we really, really liked it, him or us! LOL!
