Omg I am watching "There's something about mary' ...no wonder this movie was popular its hilarious I been watching movies all weekend ..and eating ! So I emailed mr wonderful this morning with this long 'go fuk yourself' email and then we spoke I was just glad to get some stuff off my chest I guess. His last email though he offered to put the baby on his medical cause the 1st year is 100% coverage and he said after that 80-20 and he would pay all her medical to just have any bills sent to him. O I also offered quazi the canned dog food he didnt want it so I picked it up then later on offered it again and he ate some ! I feel SO happy right now !!

Good Morning everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend. So I got EVERYTHING at my shower. I swear, people are so generous at baby showers. We even got duplicates of lots of things. I think the only thing we didn't get was the b___st pump and the monitor, but we will have plenty of store credit to get both when we return the duplicates. Oh and Best of all my mom gave us a year supply of diapers! How awesome is that! And she said she'll just buy them as the baby grows so that we won't have too many diapers that get too small or whatever! I'm so miserable to be at work today when my living room is filled with presents and I just want to go home adn set everything up and figure out what we're gonna keep and what's going back. We got tons of 0-3 month clothes, and we alraedy have tons of them, so I think most will have to be returned. Oh and Fred now knows that King is a little boy! My grandmom is a little senile and she walked up to him and said So, I bet your excited to be having a little boy! He just laughed, because she's like 85 years old. So he made me promise that with the next baby we won't find out, which I'm not sure I will be able to do. I'm too much of a planner for that. So now all I need is baby! Oh and you know what's awesome, we got like 200 in gift cards to babies r us and 300 dollars in cash too. I never heard of people giving money at a baby shower, but I was like Hey Sweet! Ok so I'll stop talking about my shower, it was just so exciting. So Dawn, how is Quazi doing today? From your other post it sounded like he was doing much better. Keeping any food/water down is a very good thing right now. Before you know it he'll be back to normal. Kay, I hope your doing well today. I saw that you barely posted yesterday so I hope you weren't at L&D again. Ok I gotta go eat now. Oh adn Thanks Amanda for putting up my pic :)

Hey gabby! i thought fred knew the baby was a boy .. I guess cause of the name being picked out already lol so grandma gave up the info haha aww I'm a planner too I cant just NOT know .. bad enough I cant see her face but I had to know what she was at least! Quaz seems ok he POOPED which made me so happy - it was black though and there was something in it looked like rawhide so I think it was that pighide I gave him .. he ate half a can of dog food this morning Now I ran over to the place my shower is suppose to be at cause my mom called and their number was disconnected well its under new managment ..this cuban guy who kept talking to me in spanish lol for some reason people always think I am latina lol he even says to me he will hook me up with price cause I'm latina and this and that - luckily I understand most spanish so I followed the conversation maybe thats why he got confused cause I understood him lol finally in the end I was like yeahhh Im not puerto rican he was like NO?! lol i was like nope but its ok people do that to me ALLL the time - I guess cause he offered me all these options food wise and I went with the puerto rican buffet that made him think I was puerto rican .. i was like 'hey its ok I'm not but the babies dad is ' lol ! anyways so they will be open on the day of my shower thank goodness ...scary when you drive by the place your shower is suppose to be at and they have closed signs up talking about 'out of business' lol .. so anyway he was pretty nice and everything is still on! woo hoo gabby people may have been generous at your shower but I can guarantee you they wont be at mine ... I'd be lucky to get 3 things off my registry.

yeah Kay, I hope it works out that way. but they told him what he is 'supposed' to be doing over there and from the sounds of it he will only be on a base once a week, the other 6 days of the week he will be with an army unit in an MRAP (like a super humvee) doing god knows what. so on that one day a week that he is back at a base I 'should' be able to talk to him if he isn't other wise busy, or if there is a phone available... we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. im keeping my fingers crossed that when he gets there they tell him "never mind, we have a nice boring desk job for you" LOL

Oh and Heather, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for your hubby getting that desk job! Haha. Try to stay strong and he'll be home with you and your little girl before you know it.

I dont think my parents are getting me anything cause they are giving me the shower - they are really tight on money but I know my mom did pick up lil outfits and diapers so she will have something but nothing like ...major. Its ok I think alot of it will work out ..even if i dont get much my one old co worker has alot of stuff she can give me so maybe In the end I wont be still needing too much, I want to get the baby that wedge that holds them laying in one position and helps with sids.. but for the monitor I would like it but I will only buy it 2nd hand cause new it was over a hundred dollars.

Yeah we got a crib wedge. It says that it helps with acid reflux and sleep apnia too which alot of babies get. The sleep apnia is scary cause they stop breathing, I think that's the explanation for alot of SIDS cases.

gabby - that's awesome about your shower! I would TOTALLY invest in a b___st pump that is nice instead of a cheap one. I used mine all the time - so I could have time away or go out every now and then. Plus, I went back to work at 3 months so it was necessary. The cheap ones are c___p. You could buy it and always return it if you decide not to use it. It was really worth it for us though - especially since my nipples got so cracked and sore and started bleeding a week into it that I had to quite bfeeding for a while and pump/bottle feed till I healed. By the way, if that happens to any of you, you can get a special cream for your nipples from the doctor that helps heal them much better than any of the lotions you get at the store. None of those worked for me at all. Just keep that in mind. It's a special prescription that has to be mixed at a pharmacy. Anyways, congrats on the shower!!! :) Heather, hang in there! I know it's hard when they are gone. I once dated a guy who was in the military - many many years ago - and it was SO hard being so far apart. I can't imagine how hard it is to have your hubby gone for the birth of your child. Hang in there! 34 weeks today!!! :) Ok, can someone tell me about this piczo site? I seem to have missed the boat on all that. I might actually have to take some pictures of myself though! ;) Oh, gabby, I had a sleep wedge too and it was awesome! My dd had acid reflux really bad and it helped. It also helped to keep her from rolling all over and coming out of her swaddle. It was a real lifesaver! We also only got a basic monitor - no special features and it was fine. I found that I heard every little peep she made no matter how asleep I was, I still do.

Thanks Fefer, what type of pump did you get? I was thinking about the medela swing electric pump. I heard that medela is the best brand and I've also heard that the manual pumps are c___p. The one that I really want is the medela pump in style but it's like $329 and I just can't justify spending that especially since I won't be going back to work.

King has hiccups, haha, I love it when he gets them. It's so funny.

I like the madela one too gabby that is on my registry but it was only 149.99 its the madela swing single elec b___st pump .. at babies r us ..329 is alot .. I wouldnt spend that either. You know violet gets them ALOT i just laugh ..so cute!

Yeah Dawn that's the exact one I registered for too. I think people felt weird buying it for me though, so that's why I'll just have to go buy it. Oh yeah and we didn't get a diaper bag isn't that kinda wierd.

that is weird lol I was just saying to my mom I think one of the 1st things to sell offmy registry would be the diaper bag but so far nothing has sold lol
