Okay, we all agree the last thread was way too long. So, I guess I'll start the new one. Had a couple of scares this weekend while being in the hospital. Apparently her h/b drops sporadically while I'm on the monitor (I have to be monitored 2x daily for 1 hour). This concerned the nurses (beginning on Friday). While her heartrate drops, it's still in the normal range. After having 2 ultrasounds (1 Friday, 1 today), the doctors say everything is fine. She has plenty of fluids and is extremely active....jabbing and kicking me as I type. If only I could get the nurses to calm down when her h/b drops, perhaps I could remain calm during these episodes. I think I'm destined to have a high-maintenance l/o on my hands...Oh well, at least she's still baking in there....I need another 7 weeks, but my doctors will take 4 weeks as major progress....

Yeah it doesn't seem to help us already worried mommies when our drs/nurses freak out on us! When is your baby due? I'm due April 18th and haven't had an ultrsound since 18 weeks! I'm jealous! Hope everything goes well for you! Have you picked out a name yet?

I'm due May 16th but have been diagnosed with incompetent cervix. So, she'll probably come early. We've decided on the name Trinity Valyn.

I'm new to this thread...but am due May 4th. I too, have been diagnosed with incompetent cervix. I am 30 weeks today and have been on bedrest since 18 weeks, when I had my emergent cerclage put in. She's also still baking but on my last appt. the dr. told me that her head was low.... so we'll see.

Good morning ladies! Jaira, thanks for posting this new thread. It is indeed incredible that the nurses are the ones who panick when there probably isn't anything to panick about. I mean, you can be worried, but they should know that pregnant women ( I don't know for you, but I am a worry machine right now!) do not need more "excitement" than what we already experience!!! I love the names you chose Jaira!
xkarx: welcome, and hope everything goes well this week for you. Just try take it day by day! I'm due May 9th!

Jairia wow what a scare. Thats not very professional of the nurses to freak out like that. I am glad your lil Trinity is deciding to stay put longer :) xkarx, welcome!!! Keep us updated on how you are doing. I am glad that Jairia started this now it doesnt take 7 mins for it to download at work now... what a pain that was. How was everyones weekend... Chatty, Reneeney how did your baby showers turn out?? I hope the weather was nice for you! I have a question is anyone elses tummy hurting?? Like it is a streching muscles feeling?? It hurts to bed over cause right now my l/o is laying sideways and low and it is extremely uncomfy for alot of regular activities like trying to put on socks or shoes or just bending over period. I am sure this is normal I am just making sure though. Its pretty funny sometimes, dh had to help me out of the d__n recliner last night cause it took to long to wiggle and squirm to the edge just to get out of it. lol. Well ladies I hope all have a good Monday and a wonderful start to the week. It i ssuppose to be about 80 here today so I am looking forward for this work day to be over!!!

Hi everyone! Jairia, you are remaining so calm under all this stress, even the nurses are more stressed than you! You are my hero. Remain as calm as you are and I'm sure things will be fine. Red, my shower was a great time. I enjoyed seeing everyone. It took forever for me to open the gifts though and I felt like I was in the hot-seat with everyone staring at me. But I got a lot of really nice things and people were very generous, so it was nice! On another note, DH and I went to the 4D u/s on Friday night and it was AMAZING! I loved every minute of it. I've already watched the DVD 4 times since then. He is so cute, if I do say so myself! He looks like a combo of the both of us but definitely more like my husband. He has my nose though! I just can't get over how great it is to see him so clearly, and to know that he's thriving. My parents came over immediately when we got home and looked at the DVD/pictures and were b__wn away. But anyway, if you're on the fence about it, I would highly recommend it. It made me feel even more connected to my little guy. I watched it last night and cried through the whole thing! On another not so great note, I go for the 3 hour blood glucose test tomorrow. So not looking forward to that! Please, please, please wish me luck! I hope everyone else is doing well. Belly rubs to all.

Hey guys!! Jairia so sorry to hear about that. it sucks to be so stressed during pregnancy. i feel the baby move like crazy when i get stressed out so i feel bad that it might be doing something negative but that's true it's usually the stupid people around us that get us stressed, otherwise i'm fine all the time. -i'm talking to a b*tch of a coworker who i've just had it with she's so rude adn just so rude, i just lost it today and complained to everyone while she wasn't there..hehe...felt better. hey Renee i have a 4d scheduled on march 22 i was on the fence i just didn't want to spend the money. but i heard studies done that showed parents bonded faster and sooner with their baby with these type of scans.

here's an issue i have. I CAN'T SLEEP......i'm too uncomfortable, i have lots of pillows but no matter what position i'm in my belly feels like it's being pulled and then i feel like i'm rolling over my belly. but i toss and turn which actually really hurts becuase as soon as i go over my back it hurts....so i just feel really uncomfortable all night. and the bathroom visits are starting to increase. i feel constant pressure to pee all the time and then it fizzles...i can't preform lol. but am i the only one that is goingthrough this?? i saw a full term pg lady this weekend, one of my husbands friend and she wasn't complaining at all, well not in the couple hours i hung out with her, but i'm so uncomfortable is that abnormal?

Welcom xkarx. I had an emergency cerclage placed at 23 weeks and have been on bedrest since. I'm currently 28.5 wks along. She's also lying low. So we'll see how much more time we get to back. Have any of you experienced sharp pains on one side of your bum? I know it sounds wierd, but I'm having horribly sharp pains on my right side that began last night. It feels like I've pinched a nerve. I thought it would go away by this morning, but it was worse. The tech had to walk me to the bathroom as I couldn't make it on my own. I'm a little nervous because the pain was so horrendous this morning that it brought me to tears. Just wondering what this is.

Hi Sims1. I am also very uncomfortable at night. I usually sleep on my stomach so I'm not liking this side-sleeping to say the least. I don't think the peeing, my DH's snoring, or the dog and cat going back and forth with eachother helps either :) But I was going to tell you that I've seen this pillow-type wedge that you can place under your belly to support it while you're on your side. I've seen it at Destination Maternity and Babyies R' Us, but I'm sure it's elsewhere too. Maybe that will help.

JAIRIA, sorry to hear about the b___t pain. lol Unfortunately, I get it too, and I'm sure it doesn't help that you have to be laying down all the time. I usually find that being up and about helps it not hurt, but that just isn't an option for you! Unfortunately you'll probably be dealing with it for the rest of the pregnancy, so heres to hoping that pain in your b___t lasts a long time! ----- Ladies, I wanted to share some good news with you! This wednesday I get a 3d/4d ultrasound for free!!! My doctors office just got a new machine and they need a guinea pig to test it out on! I'm so excited, I am just hoping that BF will be able to get off of work in time to come see it. The other news is that I've finally started to feel the pounds coming on. 8lbs since last visit!!! Before my grand total was only 11, so its crazy to think that in one month I've managed to gain almost the amount I had in all the other months prior! And next time I also get that glucose screening and a rhogam shot. boo... but I'm so excited about the ultrasound I could just care less!!!!

Okay...I'm laughing as if the pain in the b___t lasts a lot longer then I know that's a good thing. I needed the laugh. I was talking to my mom earlier and was explaining that I had this pain in the 1st tri, but I thought it went away a lot sooner. It makes sense that the movement helped. So, I guess this is something I'm going to have to deal with for awhile. Oh well, I know that it will be well worth it as long as she comes out healthy! Congrats on the free 3d/4d ultrasound. How exciting!!!

Sims1 - I have the worst time getting to sleep too. It was so bad Saturday night that I called in Sunday because I was so tired. Laying flat, sitting up .. neither works. Then when I lay on my side like I'm supposed to, my leg gets all numb and hurts. Well Jaira - looks like we are going to be bedrest buddies after all. My doctor is giving me 2 to 4 weeks more of work, tops, and then I'm on bedrest. Also, I found out I may have to have my csection around 36 or 37 weeks, putting me at the end of April now, depending on if my placenta is still covering the cervix at my next u/s next week. So of course, I'm pushing for 4 more weeks of work so I can get as much commission as possible. I'll be paid my base rate at 100%, but my commission is something that I've kind of grown used to lol. i took my glucose test today & apparently they have upgraded to a less thick drink. It was fruit punch, but I still chugged it in about 5 seconds so I didn't have to taste it. The nurse swears it was a new record lol.
